Implant pump

Postby Implant - » Fri Jul 03, 2026 11:36 am

Iv had the implant almost 2 years now.

So far everything has been good. However now, when I pump it, towards the end the pump gets pushed inwards a pushed inwards and stays there.
Before, when it would stay hard till the end until I could no pump it any more.

Does anyone have any insight into this?

It would be good if you provide more details about which implant model, pump etc, but I'm guessing that you are likely running out of fluid.
Which means that you have reached the limits of what your implant can do with the available fluid.
The corpora has been stretched to the limit of whatever is in the reservoir when you're fully pumped.
It can't inflate any further and the bulb collapses/goes soft. As long as everything is still otherwise functioning normally it should be OK.
I've recently started having the same thing happen, now at 16 months.
But I can get more pumps in after Perito exercise or by manipulating the bulb briefly, and I still achieve maximum hardness.

I have the Rigicon AMX10.

I guess it may be at maximum but it doesn’t feel that strong and hard as it did before.

What’s the perito method?

When you say ‘running out of fluid’ does this mean I will keep losing fluid until it runs out? Will I need to refill the fluid, I don’t know how this all works (excuse my ignorance)

In that case you could potentially have a leak somewhere. You would need to consult your surgeon about that.

Rather than me try and explain it in words, watch this video by Dr Paul Perito:

No, I mean that there is no more fluid left in the reservoir to transfer into the implant cylinders, after you have pumped as much as you can and the bulb collapses. But if you do have a leak you may eventually lose all the fluid and not be able to pump it up at all.
You can't refill the reservoir with saline yourself. It has to be done surgically but would be more complex than that to resolve a leak.
I suggest monitoring it for now and if you are definitely continuing to lose hardness when erect and the bulb goes soft, contact your surgeon.
There is no self help solution to fix a leak.
