Another concern: RF to tissues. This will have to use Bluetooth or wifi. In the normal environment your skin stops most radio frequency (RF) energy and keeps it away from your organs. When the radio is implanted your delicate lower abdominal tissues are going to get bathed in constant RF energy, which could cause damage or tumors over time.

This is concerning, so I asked AI.
ChatGPT:
Bluetooth‑class RF in medical implants uses very low‑power, duty‑cycled transmissions designed to remain well below established ICNIRP/FCC/FDA SAR (specific absorption rate) and power‑density limits, where the only well‑substantiated biological effect is minimal tissue heating, so constant RF bathing and definite tumor predictions are not evidence‑based.
Based on anatomy and dosimetry: skin does not “block most RF,” and current exposure standards explicitly model near‑field fields and localized SAR in internal tissues, with decades of RF‑EMF (radiofrequency electromagnetic fields) research failing to demonstrate a validated carcinogenic mechanism at these regulated exposure levels.

plus , would it transmit rf when the pump is not being used ?
" An implantable pump would only receive radio frequencies if it is specifically designed with an active, continuously-listening wireless receiver. Most standard implantable medical devices are designed to be passive when inactive to preserve power and prevent accidental activation, requiring an external controller to transmit a field to "wake them up."
the pro on a pump is its in the reservoir ,not on your balls . plus one set of connections would be eliminated . hose to cylinders , hose to pump , pump to reservoir . instead , the hose to cylinders and hose to reservoir .
and if the pump did go bad years later . i assume just the reservoir/pump would need to be delt with . no cutting your balls open again and the two sides of hose connections .
but then how much noise would the pump make ?
maybe it will sound like a dildo vibrator going off , hahaa . that would be a
negative . but over all it sounds like an improvement if its durable ,long lasting and quiet

While you guys are brainstorming about RF signals, my wired GE dishwasher’s drain pump just went kaput. I’m using a shop vac to clear the stagnant water. Long live Boston Scientific wireless Bluetooth pumps.
