Sensation with an implant, especially when erect and during sex?

Haven't got an implant yet, but seriously considering it. It seems to me that the reason erections feel good, either with or without stimulation, is that certain tissues are already stretched, and the mechanoreceptors are more receptive to additional deformation. With a flaccid or insufficiently inflated penis, stimulation feels like nothing. I'm wondering whether an implant would return that feeling.

When the implant is inflated, does it press against the tunica? Does the implant exert turgor/radial pressure? Do you get that stretchy/full feeling in the corpora? What is the girth of the total corpora like compared to before, or even a normal erect penis? Including near the tip.Does an inflated implant get you horny?

I've also heard guys say that they slightly deflate the implant for better sensation. How does that work? Why would full inflation reduce sensation or cause pain?

An implant will only give you an erection on demand when you pump it up. It can't fix sensitivity issues, pre-mature ejaculation problems or fix your low libido. As far as sensitivity, mine has always been as good as my younger days once I healed up.

Anon1998, It's great that you are doing the due diligence before committing to an implant. I think the feeling is a combination of physical and mental attributes in much the same way as a natural erection, but with an implant you need to control the physical aspect manually.

Yes. Once fully recovered it feels much the same as a natural erection, but I find it significantly harder (when fully pumped).

My girth is the same as pre implant including near the tip. I'm average girth so it's not a big challenge for the device. The glans is soft as an implant can't inflate the glans. But my glans swells and becomes firmer from arousal during sex, especially in the lead up to orgasm.

Does an inflated implant get you horny?

Yes. Stimulation can still come from a variety of triggers but I find that inflating the implant sends a mental signal that causes arousal.

For some guys over-inflating can reduce sensation and/or cause discomfort. Early in my recovery that was true. But I'm now approaching 16 months post op and I prefer to be pumped as hard as possible. I find it more of a turn on and have full sensation with no discomfort at 100% inflation during prolonged vigorous sex, and I orgasm 100% of the time.

Why would full inflation reduce sensation or cause pain?

Much the same as the previous question. You are exerting significant internal pressure on a very sensitive area with many nerve endings that needs blood flow.

The physical sensation I get was not harmed by getting an implant. The pleasurable feeling I get is at least as good as before.

For me the rock hard rigid feeling of my shaft (compared to the spongy semi-erect feeling I had as shots were failing me) is even better. Whether that is a physiologic (stretching) or a mental (my brain interpreting hardness as OMG I’m so turned on!!!) I’m not sure.

But I’m super happy with it.

I was surprised how unchanged sensation is with an implant. You can still flex your pelvic floor muscles and get that rush of bloodflow and flex your penis. As you pump it toward max, you get that same internal stretch sensation in the shaft you get from a natural rock hard erection. Remember that the tissue that gets replaced by the cylinders has almost no nerves in it anyway, so you don’t lose sensation by removing the corporal bodies.

I find that pumping up my implant does make me horny, because the erection is so identical to a natural erection caused by arousal. At the very least it will help you get aroused with stimulation.

The reason many back off from 100% pumped up, is that the harder you make it, the more small nerves and blood vessels can get compressed and reduce sensation. It’s subtle but it’s a thing, I used to get the same reduced sensation from Trimix that gave me really hard erections. Back off to 80-90% might give you better bloodflow into the glans. Also pumping to absolute max and leaving it there can cause soreness after 30 minutes or more. The good news is the soreness disappears within ten minute of deflating and then your can re-inflate if desired.

The amazing part is you can keep it hard for hours if you want, and stay hard after orgasm. I have several times gone to sleep erect inside my girlfriend, and woke up hours later still hard. The only limit on sex is your cardio capacity.
