Follow ALL of YOUR doctors instructions to the letter. Email, text, or call their office if you have questions or if their instructions were unclear. Different surgeons have different protocols so advice given to a guy here by HIS surgeon might not be what your surgeon advises.

Ice ice ice ice ice ice ice. Did I mention ice? It will be your best friend for the next 48 hours. I found it helped more than anything else did. As long as I iced I was pretty comfortable. My penis was so bundled up with gauze dressing there was no concern about overdoing the ice in my case. But follow your docs recommendations here as well.

Get lots of rest. It takes a lot of energy to heal.

And a babysock worn over the glans of the penis really helped when I was initially pretty tender.
