Tubing length & cutting

Postby splitpeach » Mon Jun 15, 2026 8:55 am

Does anyone know which surgeons have a specific approach to tubing? My tubing is ridiculously prominent and I've read some surgeons cut it routinely to remove excess.

My tubing placement is so bad id get a revision just for that

My understanding is that Prof Ralph at UCHL is one of the most prominent high volume surgeons in the UK.
Going to a high volume surgeon would have been my advice. It rare to hear that one of those folks have such prominent tubing that it’s an issue.

Have you met with him to discuss your concerns? What did he say about it?

If you find you really need to get a revision, Dr Eid in NYC did a great job on me. The tubing is really difficult to find other than in the scrotum. And even there most partners mistake it for normal stuff in the scrotum. It’s really rare anyone asks me if anything is out of the norm.

If flying to New York is possible for you and you aren’t satisfied with Dr Ralph addressing it, have a video consult with Dr Eid. He is among the most experienced in the world and is known for dealing with difficult revisions and complicated cases.
57yo, NYC. ED started at 40. Pills, then shots for 10 years. 24cm Coloplast Titan XL w/classic pump by Dr Eid 3/25/2025. Will meet for show & tell.

My view going in was the same about Ralph but 2.5 months out i have some concerns. The tubing is very prominent and the glans angle isn't good. Even his junior commented that the tubing could have been hidden better in the two week review.

Im seeing him next week so will address all of this there but I wanted to go in with as much perspective and understanding as possible.

I could fly to new York. No problem. I would prefer to do it here though of course for follow up etc. But I wouldn't rule out going stateside.

I also know someone who had my exact surgery with Hakky and they report no detection of tubing.

Does Eid enter penuscrotal or infrapubic?

Right now my tubing is bad and definitely needs to be addressed one way or another.
