Pain at tip of penis

Everything is going well at four weeks past my surgery. I’ve been cycling about twice a day, but fine that the tip of my penis gets really sore. I suspect that this is a result of the deflation process and the squeezing of the shaft that it requires. My question is how long do I have to keep enduring this? I guess this is normal, but, damn, this is irritating because even putting my undershirts on is bothering me. I guess I’ll pull out my infant socks and put them back on, but how long till this goes away do you guys think?

I think you’re talking about just the pain after surgery in your glans area. I think it was about 3 to 4 weeks for me before it calmed down.

If you’re talking about the pain in your glans from cycling the implant, it took 5 to 6 months for me.

Yes, it’s at the very tip and gets the friction when the bad boy moves around inside my boxer briefs. The baby socks are working, so I guess that’s the best I can do.

Similar story to yours. Seemed everything was annoying and sensative to the tip. I used lidocaine to help numb also to deal with the discomfort of skin having been stretched. I also found relief with moisturizer on the shaft and glans. Unfortunately it need to be endured. It's slowly went away and I have forgotten about it (except when I read about others). Straightshooter, as others have commented, that glans discomfort is something that unfortunately has to be endured. I was implanted Jan 21st, so I'm just past 19 weeks. For me, it took the better part of 3 months before it subsided. I think I went through about every brand of underwear trying to find something that didn't irritate the glans. I never tried the baby socks, and probably should have. From other posts on FT, the discomfort time seems to be very individual. Some seem to recover in just a couple of weeks or so. Three months for me.

I had discomfort from the implant against the glans, especially while cycling and pumped 100%. You didn't indicate your type of implant and pump, so I'm a little in the dark there. I have the AMS 700 CX with MS pump. I decided early on that I had to accept that I was a shower now, not a grower and I don't try and squeeze the shaft. It naturally deflates after holding the release valve for 3 or 4 seconds. I can actually feel the fluid escaping through the valve as I hold it down. I just accept that my flaccid size is quite a bit larger than before my implant (and that's OK). That eliminated that pain of trying to squeeze it. Even if I squeeze it way down, and I can now without discomfort, it will expand back to my new flaccid size.

The other discomfort was the underwear. The tip of the glans was very, very sensitive to any touch (and not in the good way). I tried several methods to diminish the irritation and finally started using Bactine Max with Lidocaine. It's an ointment, which kept the tip and glans moisturized. It comes in a small tube, so I could keep it in my pocket when I was out and about and reapply once the previous applications relief started to wear off.
