My date was October so I am still not quite at a year but I really thought sensitivity would normalize sooner. I can inflate harder than ever, but nearing the limit of my grip it gets sore and more notably there is soreness mid shaft afterwards. In other words I am constantly sore because we use it every day (or i do at least).
Does anyone else feel like an outlier… like did you have soreness for a year or multiple years and then it completely went away? Do you think it’s all about when the implant reached its full size or do you think it never does, your nerves just eventually give up?

Re: Everyone Still Get Sore After a Year?
Edjohn, my dick hurt more in the glans area for more than a year.
I was concerned that I’d never be able to leave it pumped up to the max close to two hours.
I kept cycling every day even past a year, and I did hot bathtub cycling 3 to 4 times a week where I would pump to 70 percent and do perito type exercises for 5 minutes bending my dick up down and side to side. Then I would pump up to the max and see how long I could go before crying uncle. The soreness and pain got less and less every week.
I still continue to cycle most every day in the shower and I’m over 4 years out from surgery.
It even got better after two years, where I could pump up to the max way ahead of time, so I would be ready when the wifey and I would have foreplay and then have PIV sex.
I can still get some discomfort in my glans but it’s after 3 or 4 hours of being fully pumped.
It definitely got better for me, some guys just have more pain than others for a longer period of time.
Hang in there,

Likely just the XL cylinders trying to stretch your tunica out to its max. You could possibly have slightly less girth from years of ED and the cylinders are doing their job of stretching it out. Have you measured your girth from earlier on up to the present? You could be gradually gaining in girth. With my first implant I only felt pain in my shaft and never felt it in glands. Now with my new one I’m just started cycling and at 3 weeks but definitely feeling stretch in girth and in glands.
60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off. Revision due to bad reservoir placement and potential tip erosion.

I don't remember it all that well; it was too long ago. However, I had sex for the first time after five weeks—completely without any issues—and that remained the case thereafter.
I think the success of the outcome depends primarily on how skilled and experienced the surgeon is.

Re: Everyone Still Get Sore After a Year?
I've had a penile implant, with a few revisions, for about 20 years. Whenever I tried to inflate it to the absolute maximum, I experienced pain. Because of that, I never fully inflate it.
My implant is, and has always been, an AMS 700 CX.
In my experience, some degree of discomfort at maximum inflation has always been normal. The goal, at least for me, was never to reach the absolute limit every time, but rather a level of inflation that provided a good erection without causing pain.

Re: Everyone Still Get Sore After a Year?
Similar to others but I think everyone probably has a different experience with this.
Personal preferences, different surgeon's protocols, individual anatomy and so on likely all play a part.
At 15 months post op I do still get sore IF:
a. I pump the implant as far as I can possibly get it, even for a brief period. It isn't overwhelming and the soreness quickly leaves once deflated.
b. Again I pump to 100% and have a very long cycling session. It usually takes well over an hour before I feel like I want to deflate.
The discomfort is more intense, mostly in the shaft and proximal area but the glans can also get a bit sore.
Earlier in my recovery I had to deflate at that point. Now I can just push through it if I want, but I normally deflate once I've had enough.
c. I pump it really hard for PIV sex, which is how I prefer it. I usually pump further at least twice during a session of an hour or more for extra hardness. I don't really notice any discomfort while erect, but much of it is aggressive continuous hard thrusting for extended periods. Once we've had enough I can be initially quite sore but comfortable on deflation. It takes maybe up to 30 minutes to resolve.
None of this bothers me at all. I'm more than happy that sex is fully pleasurable again and the soreness is actually like a badge of honor
