underwear that supports

Postby Frosty » Tue May 12, 2026 8:16 pm

I just tried Separatec and a similar product by Hanes. The Hanes was nearly half the price. However, neither really solves my problem, which became more of an issue with an implant!

I like willy straight up when in the pants. Flopping side to side is not comfortable. And adjusting while in public is not appropriate.

The Separatec did a little better job at holding it all in place, but not for more than 1/2 the day. The Hanes was even less so. Nestling the sack is not an issue, as mine is, well, not so prominent. Willy, however, is just fine.

So, what do you do if you have a similar issue? Tighty briefs? I don't like jock straps.

Wearing the Separatec or Hanes with a regular brief over does the job, but my wife complains that I have twice the underwear in the wash.

Now I am leaning toward the Hanes being better at keeping it straight. I have put on the Hanes one day, the Separatec the other, then the Hanes, and today the
Separatec.

Anyone care to chime in? Or would we rather keeping bitching back and forth about size gains (or not)?

Frosty, no one has replied because they are too busy bitching about gains etc ;). So I'll offer my 2 cents worth.

I have a different approach. I had to have my dick pointing up for the first 6 weeks post implant as I was 30 to 40% erect for that period.
It was basically a full on boner, just not as hard as it gets. I had read about Separatec and other options, even got as far as pricing them on Amazon.
But I didn't want to spend much on something I didn't think I'd use again. So I simply found the tightest stretchy briefs, jocks, boxer briefs etc in my wardrobe. I found that those were enough to keep me pointing upwards in relative comfort. I don't like my dick pointing up (except for sex ), so had to get used to it.

After well over 12 months of recovery everything is more or less normal. Like many I have a much larger flaccid now and have had to get accustomed to that. I prefer to be pointing down, as far as that can be achieved, which can be challenging in some clothing. But I've stuck with the same principle of just using the underwear that I already own. Most of it is tight enough to keep everything in place and supported but has enough give so that it isn't uncomfortable. I sometimes migrate sideways to a degree when walking around but can usually reposition discreetly if in public. I do have a couple of pairs of bikini briefs that are now simply too tight for extended wear due to my larger size (not complaining though!). I look for anything synthetic and quick drying that has reasonable stretch but not too elastic. I also look for a more compact fitting, which I think helps keep everything in place.

I think you guys have Uniqlo stores? If you can have a look at the Airism Seamless Boxer Briefs for a very lightweight option. I have quite a few pairs of those and find them very comfortable. They are a very sheer ultralight fabric so I mainly use them for travel. I have similar local brand underwear for everyday use but in a slightly heavier fabric. We used to have Hanes brand stuff here but I haven't seen it for years.

During the immediate post op period I was told to wear my penis point up for the first 6 weeks. It would help heal with the highest upward angle. So I wore a babysock over my penis because it was pretty sensitive and cut a 2” horizontal slit in the top of a jock strap pouch (just below the waist band). My penis pointed up (poking out of the pouch) and I wore a pair of soft boxer briefs over that.

After that first 6 weeks I went back to wearing the same things I wore preop: Krakatoa brand and Hemen Biarritz brand boxer briefs. They provide moderate amount of support. Very comfortable. Not crushing or constrictive. I hang down but they keep things discreet. I wear a jock strap at the gym because I want everything held in place when I’m running or rowing.

I never kept my penis pointing straight up, just does not feel right to me. The jock strap I was sent home in had me pointing to the left even though I was inflated to around 50%. In a few weeks, once most of the healing was done I went back to cotton briefs. Those were too short and I hung out of the bottom. Then I bought cotton boxer briefs in a size that fit snug. Point my penis down to the left where it always hung out.
The first few weeks I wore satin boxers to sleep in. Those didn't twist up when I'd roll over.
