This update will probably make me the poster child for the “give it some time” advice constantly given on this site.

I have wanted to post for several days now, but I intentionally waited a full week because I wanted to make absolutely sure this wasn’t just a temporary emotional swing or one good day.

Everything I posted below on 5/4/26 came from a panicked, exhausted, sleep deprived man who had just endured three weeks of post surgical hell on top of many difficult months leading up to surgery. I basically crashed out mentally.

What has transpired since that post has honestly been nothing short of an epic turnaround, and I am here to eat crow willingly and eagerly.

What has bothered me most about my original post is the idea that another man, suffering and wrestling with whether to take this leap himself, could have read it and paused in fear. Who would want to end up sounding the way I did?

First and foremost, thank you to every single member of this site. Dozens and dozens of men responded publicly, and around a dozen more PM’d me directly. If I needed any more evidence that this forum is full of genuinely good men who care about one another, I got it in the clearest and most unambiguous way possible.

It did not matter whether the responses were compassion, advice, reassurance, blunt honesty, or tough love. I needed all of it, and I appreciate all of it.

Now for the turnaround.

After making that post, the first thing I did was finally sleep. Real sleep. And I continued doing so every night after.

Within about two days of that post, something completely unlocked during cycling. It honestly felt like all of the painful twice daily cycle sessions since day 3, along with the tight tissue straight jacket surrounding the cylinders, suddenly relaxed and gave way.

I’m talking visible expansion. Softer cylinders. Increased pump count almost daily. Longer cycle times. Better deflation control. Straightening. Expansion into previously restricted tissue. Improved concealment in clothing. I can now wear pretty much anything comfortably again without constantly thinking about it.

Most importantly, my penis suddenly started feeling alive and recognizable again.

As arousal has returned, I’ve retained engorgement both in preserved corporal tissue surrounding the cylinders and in the glans. My non aroused penis went from looking like ET’s finger to looking like an actual penis I recognize again.

I also have full sensation, which honestly still shocks me. Each ejaculation has been better than the one before.

The best way I can describe it is this:

For three weeks it felt like I was repeatedly slamming my penis against a locked gate that refused to budge. Then sometime during week 4, the gate finally started opening, and everything began changing rapidly.

I am still early in recovery. I still have work ahead of me. I am still cycling aggressively and learning every day.

But if someone reading this is spiraling emotionally during those brutal early weeks, especially if you have fibrosis or difficult anatomy, please understand that things can change very quickly once the tissues begin adapting.

A week ago I was convinced I had ruined my life.

Today I feel hopeful again and see no reason why I don’t have a fully functional and healthy sex life ahead of me…. That will in many ways better than what I left behind.

You should have seen what this thing looked like even 10 days ago. Yikes.

More than anything though, I’m just relieved to feel like I haven’t lost myself. This doesn’t feel like the end anymore. It finally feels like the beginning of rebuilding something.

Congrats! I’m so glad to hear things have improved so dramatically for you.

These journal posts were invaluable to me in the months leading up to my own decision to proceed with an implant. Seeing the wide range of surgical experiences gave me an honest picture of what to expect. More importantly, it reassured me that even if the initial post-op period was difficult, things would improve with time.

Some guys have an effortless recovery, while others have a rougher road. But almost without exception, they eventually regain full function and size.

Thanks for including the photos as well. They tell the story even more clearly than words can. Any guy would be lucky to have a dick that looks that good!

Good wood. Speaking of our Dr. Eid. …… I’m literally floored. My scar is most completely invisible… at 30 days. How is that even possible? The man is a wizard. I had all sorts of problems he had to deal with and he Aced every single one. Feel incredibly lucky to have been in his table.
