What's the benefit of cycling right away after surgery?

I had my Titan installed Friday morning last week and had the drains removed today(Monday). He showed me the pump and had me feel for it and gave me instructions for pulling it down whenever I pee. I asked him about inflating and deleting and all he wanted was for me to see where the deflate button is located. He did not want me doing anything else until I see him next week to have the staples removed from the infrapubic incision. He didn’t even want to discuss it at this point.
74 y/r, in good shape. ED becoming worse following nerve sparing RPP 2009 which likely caused eventual venous leakage. Tried pills and injections and TRT. Not letting age be a factor. Scheduled for surgery early May with Dr Perito.

I don't think there is any benefit. Most doctors, with one exception that I know of, recommend no cycling until 4 to 6 weeks. My doctor had me wait until the 6 week post-op appointment. The reasons for delaying per my doctor were pain/discomfort, and most importantly during the first 2 -3 weeks the possibility damage to the sutures. You are not just zipped up on the surface, you have internal sutures that can possibly tear if subjected to inflation pressure.

I am 16 weeks post-op and I can say I've regained at least 98% of my length and girth and have almost zero discomfort with the exception of a small amount where the cylinders bump up against the glans. That discomfort decreases week by week and I'm enjoying my new toy now. As for me, I'm glad I followed the doctors orders. I've think patience pays off in this situation.
