Hope you can help with some advice please.

Summary/ Background Info
Three months ago (Jan 2026), I had a replacement 3 piece implant. AMS LGX 700, as the original 8 year old AMS 700 CS failed when the pump "popped" and completely stopped working.

3 months after the Jan 2026 operation, the site trauma has subsided but as you can see from the attachments one of the cylinders is pointing out to one side of the shaft.

Details
I'm 55 years old.
* This is my second penile implant (1st 2018, 2nd 2026)
* Surgery date Jan 2026
* Both ops (8 years apart) were traumatic with 3 month recovery time needed each time.
* New device fitted Jan 2026 Boston Scientific AMS700 LGX
* I live in the UK (I understand this is 99% a USA website, but I'm hoping my US brother's can share their wisdom and experience on this topic)
* The surgery was done in Turkey (as the UK waiting list was 18 months +)
* I was told by the Surgeon in Turkey after the operation that I had hypermobility in the penis head, but despite this, the surgery was successful and they were happy for me to fly back to the UK to fully recover.

My problem is as follows:
* Back in the UK, the UK urologists reviews the recovery site and said they are worried that one of the implant cylinders has not been aligned correctly. Meaning, the top of one cylinders does not sit neatly under the head of the penis, so there is a risk of "erosion". The malpositioned cylinder may come out of the corpora cavernosa and breach the soft tissue of the penis. (Please see drawing attached)
* The urologist has suggested an MRI of the implant to check infection status and to see the position of the cylinders/ implant.
*The UK urologist said the malpositioning of one cylinder could lead to erosion, in which case the whole implant will have to come out.

✴️Understandably, I'm very scared that the implant will need to be removed.

Does anyone on this site have experience of malpositioning?
Does this automatically mean the implant needs to be fully removed? Or can the implant be properly resized/ aligned/ manipulated by surgical correction?

In my honest opinion, you need a revision. It was wrongly positioned. Who on this earth did this operation? Was that a well known and experienced surgeon?

I have a Rigicon MMP and my right rod started shifting like that had to have it redone.The original size was 13mm x 17 cm and the replacement was 13mm x 19.5 on the left and 20.0 on the right.

I'm terrified by the possibile need for corrective surgery.

I originally had my first implant in London in 2018 and this device (AMS 700 CS) lasted just 8 years before the pump broke in Jan 2026. The original device was also not seated/ positioned correctly, and also had some lateral distortion (sorry if I'm not using the correct terminology).

The Turkish surgeon has since come back and said:
"I've seen the pictures you've sent. Uh, there's no need to worry actually. Yes, uh, uh, there's a issue at the distal part of the implant on the right side.

But thing is, uh, since, in your surgery, the original implant that was fitted 8 years beforehand wasn't dilated completely because the area was fibrotic and the area had fibrotic " step" (or scar ?) tissue.

They're like a tissue. And we opened this area. Uh, but we didn't actually breach the corpus. But it can be lateralised this way with some patients, it is possible.

What I recommend you do is uh keeping it at 60% - 70% inflated, for six weeks straight at least without deflating.

Because this will cause a capsule to be formed around that area on that distal part. And then that capsule will support the entire internal structure in that area."

If corrective surgery is needed, can this be done less invasively with less trauma?

The surgeon's advice to pump the implant more intuitively is terrifying. Surely pumping to 70%, when it's already poking out one side, I'm worried it will come through the skin.
But the surgeon is saying, no it's fine, it will all align when inflated.

I'm not a surgeon and so have no idea who to believe, and have no idea what to do next? All the time the clock is ticking, the implant is months old and not been cycled yet.

Personally id book a consultation with a surgeon known for revising other peoples work. Id go see hakky. Hes really good and meticulous. He did my ipp. I find it hard to believe your first implant had so much scarring the second one couldnt go through the same path. Its supposed to be easier surgery.
