Post Implant Surgery Pain

Have any of you experienced significant pain more than 1 week post-surgery?

If yes, what are you doing to help relieve pain?

I'm exactly 1 week post-surgery and still in a lot of pain. My Dr. says I'm very swollen but he says that swelling is normal post-surgery.

I'm erect or semi-erect most of the time. My penis feels very stiff and that's painful.

My balls feel very sensitive. I've been able to locate the pump but I don't want to cycle yet because my balls feel very sensitive.

My Dr. says everything went well during surgery and I'm doing well, although I will need more time to start cycling than some of his other patients.

I'm taking hot baths, using a heating pad, Taking Tylenol and Motrin together. Not getting much relief from pain so far.

Any suggestions for pain relief are greatly appreciated.

MarcL97, pain and recovery varies a lot from person to person. One week out is very early on and what you describe sounds normal (unfortunately).
My pain was tolerable but unpleasant, especially when sitting. Walking around wasn't too bad.
I didn't require strong pain meds, ibuprofen and paracetamol (acetaminophen) were enough. So the same as your current regime.
Pain persisted for at least several weeks post op. I still had soreness/discomfort at 6 weeks when I started cycling.
That very slowly diminished over the following months until it eventually became zero.
Some thoughts. Are you icing? That can provide some relief, especially in the first couple of weeks.
Take the meds before the pain really hits rather than playing catch up. Also if you were given any stronger painkillers it can be wise to take them if needed. When I had my knee replacement I couldn't have gotten through the rehab physio sessions without taking an oxycodone beforehand.
I'm not a great fan of taking opioids but if it's medically necessary it can help with recovery.

Sorry the pain is still bad for you. I hurt for a long time.
Hot baths were my pain relief. Took one every morning after doc cleared me to bathe.
I had to ask doc for Percocet since Tylenol or Motrin do nothing for me.
If your sore try a baby sock to cover your penis. Cut off the elastic, wear it like a condom.
I found Aspercream would ease the soreness. Smeared a dab along my shaft and sack. Kept me feeling pretty good most of the day. Do need to wash it off before sex. Precaution is making sure your incision is fully healed before using.

Yes, it’s very normal. I had significant swelling for months afterwards. A week out I would be surprised if you didn’t have pain or discomfort.

Relax and heal up! Plenty of time to cycle in a few weeks.
