Well, I never thought I'd use that word again. I am almost 71 years old, had a simple prostatectomy in 2019 Doc said "don't worry about a thing, you'll get hard again in about six months" (Narrator - He lied..). Not gonna say pills don't work, as long as I am manipulating myself, once I stop the erection disappears.

Anyway, here I am preparing for surgery in October. Dr Javier Piraino Anyone had experience with him, please let me know.

My question/issue is I have no idea how to start prepping. I take 5MG tadalafil every day, I try to get myself hard everyday - but any and all advice would be much appreciated.

Marco, get one of those reasonably priced automatic VED’s off of Amazon to keep your dick stretched until the surgery date.

They have some that you set a certain vacuum pressure and just hit the button. You can stretch your dick for approximately 30 minutes. I did that twice a day until my surgery.

I had a prostrate procedure also for BHP and I had total ED afterwards, pills wouldn’t work at all.

I had to wait three months for my implant surgery.

Congrats on making the decision to reclaim your sex life. You’ve found a fantastic resource of information in FrankTalk. Start by reading the he journals of others to see what you can learn from their experience; there is a wealth of information here. My implant was just this week, so I’m resting at home, and things are going well.

As for preparing for your surgery, it seems you have lots of time. Follow your doctor’s advice. My doctor recommended using a VED (vacuum erection device) in the weeks leading up to surgery. And I think that helped to stretch and soften up the tissue in the penis, allowing my surgeon to install the largest cylinders that would fit my anatomy.

There are lots of helpful hints on this forum that you can use to smooth out the road ahead of you.

I used a VED from Amazon for about 6 weeks before my surgery at least 3 times a day. I'd pump it up for 5 minutes let it rest for 10 then pump again ..at did this for at least an hour at a time 3 times a day and since I had a stroke and had not had an erection for almost 2 years I do think it helped.
