WEEK 12 - Update:Lately things have actually been improving again. I’m scared to say it

because i had a very positive post a few weeks back and then had some issues crop up shortly after with redness and soreness - all of which continued on without much improvement until literally the last like, 72 hours? or so. A few days ago, I noticed that the side of my penis where the pain was most focused started to have the pain dull a bit and feel more normal. And then the pink patches on my glans started to look less pink and more like my normal glans skin.
Then, yesterday, I had a quick consultation with Dr Eid in NYC while here on business and that was really cool, I’ll link the thread about that below.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=28272The TLDR is that he said he felt I was SLIGHTLY oversized and that this was causing a bit of my soreness. But he was not worried about erosion, and felt strongly I’d keep seeing improvements over the coming weeks. He also reassured me that for many MPP patients, the recovery can sometimes be longer due to MPPs being always hard and this can actually be tougher for the body to get used to than the IPP.
He also reiterated a stance of his that MPPs over time can atrophy tissue in the patient, causing some visible shrinkage in areas like the glans and parts of the shaft and creating a wobbly base in some patients. The rigidity of the implant remains the same, but wiggles around more. He indicated in these cases it’s still possible to revise to an IPP but that the atrophied tissue is permanent. He also said in most cases, this happens over years, not months.
I’m not going to overthink any of that too much - I’m focused on the great news right in front of me: things look good and my healing is coming along. I’m currently on a major business trip and haven’t had a ton of time, but I’m about to pull together a dating profile for the first time in AWHILE and put myself back out there.
I’m feeling very good about the future today - if for any reason I one day need to revise to a Genesis or even one day to an IPP, I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. But right now, going into the Summer of 2026? I’m GETTING BACK OUT THERE and not wasting any more time.
