Hi all . I’m new here and interested in penile implants . Do you still get natural erections ant night with an implant fitted? Are you capable of getting some type of normal erection without pumping?
I’m asking because I suffer from sleep related painful erections where on a bad night I could be woken every 45 minutes by an intense and painful erection , normal daytime erections are not painful. On srpe discussion sites it’s been suggested that implants would cure this, but some suggest erections can still occur .I would love to get feedback from people with experience mplants

Re: Nocturnal erections
You can’t get an “erection” with an implant without inflating the implant, because the implant replaces the corpus cavernosum, which is the spongy tissue that normally fills with blood to give men a natural erection. But, you can still often get some blood flow to other parts of the penis, like along the urethra and your glans. Getting blood flow there can feel like getting an erection, even though it does not mean your corpus is getting erect. Further, in the months following implantation, some guys (including me) report getting a feeling of blood actually in the corpus. The conventional wisdom that some docs share is that there is some spongy tissue left over after the corpus is dissected to make room for the implant that can get some blood flow. But, after a few months that spongy tissue dies off and that feeling goes away.
I’d strongly encourage talking about your particular condition and whether it would be impacted by an implant with an experienced implantation doc, I.e., someone who knows what he is talking about. The rest of us are just guessing.

Born 1974. Implanted 5/21/2024. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

Thanks for the reply. I have spoken to urologist’s that have performed implants and they have said they can’t guarantee that I won’t get sleep related painful erections. The way it was explained to me was the corpus cavernosum is pushed aside and not damaged or taken out and this still cause erections . I’m hoping to get more feed back here as I would get it done if it would guarantee no unwanted erections

If you have talked to multiple urologists and you came away from the talk with all of them with that understanding, I’d respectfully suggest the problem is with what you are hearing rather than what they are saying. I’m not sure what advice to give you to help with that.

Hold on. You‘re considering an implant because you get intense natural erections? Usually you should consider getting an implant when you are suffering from ED, so the opposite of what you’re telling us here.
That a total contra indication here. You would destroy your healthy and functioning corpus cavernosum tissue and replace it with plastic. That’s not what you want.

Re: Nocturnal erections
Sleep related painful erections are not normal erections. They are painfully hard and in the last 7 years I haven’t slept more than 2 or 3 hours at a time .often an hour at a time. I’m exhausted all day and would do anything to sleep all night. Most meds offered are anti psychotics that make me feel like crap or anti seizure drugs that leave me feeling hungover . Srpe forums discuss this procedure but most people are younger than me and unsure of doing it . I’m 70 and would gladly do anything for a decent sleep. Do you have any form of natural erection?
