Size Loss with Revision: Just Curious
Could anyone explain to me why someone would lose size with revision. It just sounds strange to me, given the implant has been stretching the penis distally for so long.

Unless you had a bad infection and had to go back with a MPP filler and the. Later go back with IPP you shouldn’t lose anything. I’m 6 weeks out from revision and hit a 2cm longer implant as settling in the crux usually denotes this.
My first implant I was an inch short at first pump and took 8-10 months to gain it all back. Now 6 weeks out from revision I’m maybe a 1/4 short and see no reason I wouldn’t get that back shortly. My surgeon said there should be no loss that wouldn’t come back quickly after healing. I went from a 20cm w one cm Rte to a 24cm with 1cm trimmed off end so I actually have a bigger diameter cylinder. I have zero loss in girth due to this.

60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off. Revision due to bad reservoir placement and potential tip erosion.

I was fortunate. I actually gained two centimeters with the revision to the Titan 24cm, even having more than a year between my failure and my revision surgery. Most guys loose some length on that situation due to scarring and tissue changes, so I consider myself lucky how it turned out.
Pills failed in my 30's. Moved on to Trimix. Had a priapism at age 40 on Tri-Mix. End of Tri-Mix.
Implanted Titan 22 cm with Dr. Tajkarimi in Washington D.C. on 4/21/21. Implant failed
12/12/24.
Revision - Titan 24 cm Dr Ortiz UVA 4/8/26

Alright, so this is all good news.
So length loss would only happen in the event of fibrosis/scarring?

I’m sorry, could clarify? Your message above got cut off at the end of the MPP segment. Are you saying, with infection, length loss would only likely occurr with consequent scarring?

No, as a whole if you have a revision because the original implant failed, then you should have no loss except maybe a little at first which you should quickly gain back. If you were to say have an infection shortly after an implant and had to have it removed they would generally give you a MPP as a space saver til all is clear and all healed up then they go back… maybe 4-5 months after and then can revision back to a IPp. My opinion is that you would possibly lose some. But! If properly sized you should get back to where you were originally. Might take a little longer time but should get it back. I’m not a Dr but have read many accounts of this similar situation and this seems to be the common occurrence
