I have posted here before, my friends, and I have the following question... I have a psychological problem, usually in starting to have sex. It usually takes a long time with a blowjob or masturbation from my partner. It is very tiring and tortures me. If I manage to have an erection with all this, sometimes I can finish during sex or sometimes not at all. I have been taking pills for more than two years but with unstable results. The doctors I have visited say that I do not have an organic problem but a psychological one. I am young and I want to enjoy my life. Do you think an implant will give me the confidence and psychology to improve my sex life? I have done tests such as a doppler test and it showed moderate venous leakage. The doctors said that it has nothing to do with my erectile dysfunction, because I have many times I can't even get an erection..i.e. it's not that I get an erection and then lose it quickly..it's just that many times I don't even have an erection..I forgot to mention that with the pills I have taken maximum doses higher than normal several times without result..I don't do injections, they are uncomfortable so I'm thinking about an implant.

If you chronically can’t get an erection with high doses of pills, you do not have a psychological problem, you have a physical problem.

An implant is a solution for not getting an erection. It allows you to get an erection regardless of whatever else might be going on. You pump it up, and bingo/presto, you have an erection that lasts as long as you want it to.

Venous leak is no joke + that combination with the mental struggle of dealing with ED leads to more significant ED. This is something I feel like many doctors and urologists don’t consider, for whatever reason. My venous leak was the primary driver of why I got the implant, but it’s a feedback loop - the venous leak makes it hard to maintain an erection, so when id lose it id feel bummed out and that mental impact would make it difficult the next time too.

If pills are reliable for you - if they get you hard for sex most of the time and you’re happy with the % of time that they work, you should stick with them. But if pills don’t work at a % threshold that you’re okay with + you don’t want to do shots, the implant is the option you’re looking for.
