Hey man

could be that your reservoir migrated. or he just placed it submuscular and it's more visible

i'm curious, did he tell you why he tought the LGX was best for you?

Welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood Curious!

We all hope that your healing goes well, just remember this first part is a journey and not a race.

Reach out when you have questions, I have the same implant a AMS 700 LGX with the older MS pump.

Congrats again,

It’s not uncommon for there to be aches and pains that come and go for the first few months as the body heals and everything settles into place.

It’s likely your reservoir was placed on that side. That involved your surgeon pushing the reservoir up into your abdomen through the inguinal canal. That certainly causes some strain and bruising that has to heal.

There is likely nothing wrong. Just the normal course of healing from implant surgery. Let us know what your surgeon says when you talk to them Tuesday.

Curious, GoodWood is right, it will take a good while before you stop feeling aches and pains.

Yes, where the doc puts the reservoir takes longer to heal, at least it did for me. If you’re more fit with a low percentage of body fat you’ll probably be able to see the bulge. I’m in pretty good shape for my age and I can barely see the bulge where the reservoir is. I can still definitely feel the reservoir when I lean up against something. I’ve had my implant a little over 4 years.

You’ll have a lot going on the next 6 months to a year.

We’re here to help
