Struggling with revision!

Postby Rider1400 » Thu Apr 02, 2026 12:55 pm

I had my revision on 2-25 so I’m just over 5 weeks. IM STRUGGLING!!! This revision has been a lot harder than my original implant! I now know my original was a little undersized and I had zero pain in glans with it. Now I have 2cm more and tips of cylinders go well into glans. Dr also did a tunneling procedure to place tips more up into the glans and not poke out the bottom like before. I always encourage people and tell them just be patient! Time heals most all issues with an implant!! Wow!! It’s hard to take your own advice when things seem to be dragging so bad! By this point with my first one I was having sex and wearing jeans with little to no discomfort! I started cycling a week ago and is it ever painful in the glans! Guess it’s to be expected with the work he had to do to get things in place. I also have a hematoma to the left of my junk that’s hard as a rock now and swells every day with a bunch of puffy fluid buildup thru the day. Good of it is that the puffy swelling goes down overnight, so it starts over every day. Well I’ve had my rant!!! Guess I’ll put my big boy pants on and suck it up now!!!
60yo.ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works w diminishing results.
Implanted 5-22 Titan 20cm with 1cm RTE.
Revision 3-26 Titan 24cm with 1cm trimmed off. Revision due to bad reservoir placement and potential tip erosion.

You got this bro! Hopefully the sizing is just right now and you will be even happier with the results. If seems no matter the advice we give or take its still a psychological weight on us as men. Stay positive bro!

45 years old. Married 11 years to the most supportive amazing wife. Struggled w/ed last 5 years. Pills worked until they didn't. Shots worked with side affects and no spontaneity. Finally took the leap. Implanted 3-26-26 by Dr. Blick with 21cm ams 700 cx.

Rider1400, hang in there it does get better. FWIW, I also had a rough recovery and it took almost 8 weeks to start cycling. Even the Dr couldn't/wouldn't try cycling me at 6 weeks. It sounds like they did a lot of extra work down there so the additional healing time sounds right. Best wishes !

Rider1400, sorry you're having a tougher recovery this time around. It does sound like trauma from the additional work. It seems like doing that to get you the best result is a double edged sword. I'm sure it will settle down but may take longer than your previous implant. The only suggestion I have is to maybe take painkillers proactively, to try and stay ahead of the pain while everything heals. I agree with the other guys, you've got this.

Almost certainly the increased pain is due to properly sized tips getting into the glans and stretching that tissue. Before the revision those tissues were able to relax and shrink down a bit, and now you have to catch up a bit to stretch them.

Hang in there it sounds to be like you’re on a normal recovery trajectory for your situation.

Thanks man!! Yes it is very much a psychological thing. It nags at you non stop to some degree for the first several weeks and at times there’s little relief for hours on in…. And you can’t do anything else !! But it’s definitely getting better most days

Thanks to all who replied! Things are definitely getting better most days. Haven’t even used this thing yet and it’s 5 weeks and 2 days!! Oh well I always push things too much! Just anxious to get back in regular jeans and I guess get back to work will help also!! I’m sure when I’m able to start enjoying it with the wife again it will all be worth it!! Makes me realize just how much i appreciated the implant I had and how well it functioned!! Missing it even though it had its issues.thanks again my bionic brothers!!
