Had my pre op with Eid today. Surgery set for two weeks from now. Can’t say I left the meeting very confident. I’m actually not happy at all.
Now maybe I misinterpreted his vibe but he basically made it sound like he wasn’t confident in how it’s going to go. His enthusiasm was low.
Said with 7 inch length but only 4.7 girth and left side scar tissue I’m kind of in between cylinder sizes and rough to predict. Will almost certainly have to give me RTE’s because their no way my anatomy can fit cut down 24 cm cylinders.
Said it’s going to be a wait and see approach. He will have two separate implants ready to go. So basically I’m going to wake up with either a Titan or an AMS which he admits he hasn’t done many of the last 15 years.
1. 22cm Titan is the absolute widest cylinder he thinks I can handle/fit but may not be long enough so will need rte. Also said with my small girth it’s going to be very painful for 4 months or more and I will have significant dog ears. I tried the pump and it’s disgustingly noisy. I cannot imagine hooking up with a girl and hearing that noise. Said it is my best chance to gain some girth.
2. Ams CX. 21 cm with double rte. if he can’t fit the Titan. Will hurt less but may wobble. Unlikely to give me girth gains. Will break sooner.
When I asked him what he recommends based on my anatomy he was basically just like “shoulder shrug”. He’d lean Titan but isn’t sure it will fit. So yeah I’m feeling pretty shitty right now. The king of coloplast can’t even make me feel confident about his preferred device. Also sounds like I’m in for a miserable experience either way…. Which I’d be willing to endure if my surgeon was confident in my case.
Edit: He was great at my prior visits and calls. But seemed not into it today. Now maybe it was a bad day or maybe he didn’t like my questions both of which I could look past, but im afraid he’s realizing he isn’t loving my actual surgical profile.

So go get another opinion elsewhere
Believe post prostate surgery I was around 5 inches down from 6. Never measured girth but post titan otr 20 cm seems thicker.

Could just have been having a terrible day. Eid is an old guy, a master at his craft. But he's been doing this for a really really long time and probably doesn't have a sense of how he comes off in terms of bedside manner, anymore. At least sometimes. He's such a seasoned pro that nothing really phases him, and he may not always be aware of how he comes off to patients.

Re: Pre Op w/ Eid. Not happy
Sorry you had such a rough experience. You’re facing a difficult decision, and it’s completely normal for that to feel stressful.
One way to look at it: based on what you described—long length, narrower girth, and the presence of scar tissue—your case may be more technically challenging. Those are exactly the situations where someone with Dr. Eid’s decades of experience can be especially valuable. It sounds like he wasn’t sugarcoating things because, in his judgment, it may not be straightforward.
Of course, it would have been far more reassuring to hear that everything will go smoothly. And ideally, that same honesty would have been delivered with more empathy. Unfortunately, that didn’t come across in your visit.
That said, his experience and skill are still significant assets—especially for a complex case.

I think as the initial panic from the meeting has worn off I’m thinking what you just said could very well be the case. I’m aware I’m probably somewhat emotionally compromised/ anxious as I approach my surgery date. I’m probably hyper vigilant to anything.

I have full respect for his skills. His results speak for them self ( look no further than your spectacular results). I think yeah I’m stressed and was hoping to hear more confidence. But I think it’s just my interpretation of him. Perhaps he’s just being frank with me that Titan is best but I’m likely in for a tough recovery. I’m fully mentally prepared to endure what I just to earn a new lease on life. Ugh. I don’t know if I should get Titan and take the pain or go ams cx with eid doesn’t do many of these days. ( I don’t doubt his ability to place one)

Re: Pre Op w/ Eid. Not happy
I’m gonna repeat my prior advice: you should go with your doc’s advice. The choice between one implant or the other is largely a question of what will best work for your anatomy, and your doc is the best expert you have on that. You are not, and neither is anyone on this site. If your doc says: hey, it doesn’t really matter which one, you choose, then great. But if he is recommending something, I would go with that. It’s not like buying a tv set for its features. It’s a medical procedure. Pick the right doc for you, and then go with his advice. Period.
I’d also advise letting things go. I’ve read a lot of posts on this here site over the past two years, and I’ve had sex with a lot of women with my inflatable dick. I have heard very few implanted guys complain about the sound their implant makes, and no women that I have been with have ever noticed it.
Do pumps make a small noise? Yes. Is it an issue? No.
It’s an emotional time. I’d encourage you to focus on the positive: you are going to have a dick that works. It’s gonna take some time and adjustment, but you will get there if you allow it.
Be well, Leto

Born 1974. Implanted 5/21/2024. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.
