I want to thank all the men on FT for providing such wonderful advice.
I had my surgery on 3/25 at the UCSD Jacobs center for advanced surgery. Amazing facility. My surgeon Dr. Darshann Patel met me in the pre surgery area, reviewed everything once more, and solidified my confidence and trust as my surgeon. I was supposed the 3rd of the 5th implant for the day and he jokingly remarked that he was all warmed up. I was given some meds through the IV by the anesthesia doc to help with my anxiety and before I knew it I was in the recovery area.
I got a AMS CX 24 cm. Was sent to the hotel with a drain and a foley leg bag. I decided to go to the local Hilton in Torrey Pines the night of the surgery. This was all pretty smooth. Had DoorDash for meals, lots of ice, hotel staff was pretty helpful. Beautiful view of the grounds and very relaxing.
I went to Dr. patels office in La jolla the next day for his nurse Maria to remove the foley and the drain. Wow, she is gorgeous and was a little embarrassed given the state of things, but she was very very professional and helpful. I didn't see dr patel that day, but he did call me later that day. We had a quick convo about the surgery, he was very pleased with the outcome. For day one, I had a little puffiness of the skin near the incision, but no real bruising or swelling. Actually looked way better than i expected. Size wise both length and girth maybe a little more size then I was expecting given all the chatter immediately after the surgery and before cycling.
I ultimately made my way home. Lots of ice, tylenol and celebrex. I didn't use any of the oxy the doctor gave me. Just didn't need it. I was like waiting for the pain to set in, but honestly it was very comfortable. Little sore but very manageable into the weekend. Most annoying part if keeping the penis pointed up for a few days and urination (pretty unpredictable, but i got a plastic urinal to use which made it easier). I was told I was left maybe 20% inflated and I would stay that way till 4 weeks.
I was worried that my first appointment wasn't till 4 weeks for cycling. Dr. said in his call, that given he had tried to aggressively size, he wanted the corpora cuts to heal before subjected to the stretch of the implant. I just listened as so far everything has panned out and no complications.
On day 5 after surgery and I am absolutely impressed. I'm doing everything the doctor recommends and hoping for the best. For those of you, like me a year ago, this surgery will be life changing for the better.

I have the Boston Scientefic implant too, except mine is the AMS 700 LGX.
I have the old MS pump that looks like a hand grenade. Did you get the new pump?
