I was a big grower myself, but after my implant, I lost more than 2 inches. I wish I had never gotten an implant. Be very careful because most growers get implants that are your size before flasid size. You don't end up with your erection size because the cant enlarge what is there; only blood flow can do that.
Titian 14cm x 1cm rte. Lost about 3 inches.

Yikes... Sorry to hear that. Can you offer some more background? Your age, what device, surgeon, date of surgery.

Basically.... What happened?

Ive not heard it commonly before that growers are essentially "doomed"!
Mid 30s. UK. ED since mid teens. Done the pills, injections, P Shot, Gainswave, ESWT shockwave.

Now preparing to take the plunge under care of Professor Ralph at UCLH. Planning on a Rigicon Infla10 AX with Pulse pump.

He must mean Viagra
43, ED since late 20's, Pills on and off since then increasing strengths with inconsistent results. Now 5mg Cialis daily and either 20mg Cialis or 100mg Viagra
Not sure if it's Psychological or Physiological, long-term use of SSRI's probably hasn't helped

cscout10 & splitpeach, I don't believe that is generally true. I'm not saying its never happened, but its not just because of being a grower vs non-grower. I'd been a grower all my life. Post-op I lost about 1/2", but after 9 or 10 months of cycling gained that back. After reading 2 years of Journals on FT that has been a very common outcome.

The point of an implant for me is to no longer rely on having to take any medication at all, so this would definitely be consideration for that.

Yeah, cold glans seems relatively common. I've asked my surgeon about it and he said it will eventually resolve but couldn't give a specific timeframe. For sex it isn't a problem. Once underway with PIV it quickly warms up. More noticeable when I'm exercising outdoors in really cold weather.

So what's the current situation? You'll pump up before sex but your glans will be cold and not engorged initially? Does the look of it appear strange or just the cold sensation?

Yes it's only the cold sensation, appearance is not affected at all in my experience.
It really only bothers me to a degree when I'm exercising, and seems to be slowly improving.
Otherwise I can generally ignore it. Will see how it goes as we're starting to head into cooler weather here.
Also while it is a fairly common side effect many guys don't have it, so may not be an issue.

Recovery great but have a bend.

So that tells me the theory of the glans being entirely served by a separate blood supply to the cavernosum isn't entirely true. As I take it the cold glans only presented following your implant?

It is not a theory it is physiology. Getting too erect too fast can actually pinch off the supply since it runs between the CC. If I inflate as hard as I can with both hands it is more difficult to get CS expansion. It can help to build up arousal and inflate gradually.
Oct 7, 2025 - Coloplast Titan XL - Touch pump - 26cm - 0.5cm RTE with Jonathan Clavell. Still sorting out TRT; plan to try a "modified natty" approach without injections.

I think you'll find that the separate blood flow is a medical fact, something my surgeon confirmed.
What causes cold glans in some guys I have no idea. Yes I don't recall having it pre surgery but it may have been less obvious with my severity of ED.
I'm inclined to think it may be mild pressure from the implant cylinders slightly impeding the blood flow to the glans. But that's just me speculating.
If something of real concern it's a question for your own surgeon.

My bad Gentlemen, it is 20 mg Cialis, NOT 100 mg. Brain fart as I was thinking of the dosage of another med I take totally unrelated to ED. I had cold glans prior to implants on trimix. Most probably don't have the cold glans problem, but it is related to blood flow which Cialis helps with.

No, it was Cialis. I've corrected my original post. It is 20 mg, NOT 100 mg. Morning brain fart.
