stiction /stuck valve /pump dimples

Postby subhash » Sat Mar 28, 2026 5:58 am

hi, At times I am able to inflate at the first shot (that is I hear the 'pop' sound) but there are times when the bulb goes flat. Then it takes between 15 minutes-5 hours of repeated attempts to hear the 'pop' sound.

Please can you all share what needs to be done so that the first attempt is always a success?? let us create a group of such people so we can share our tips and tricks.

please do share . What I generally do is press the inflate and deflate at the same time, but there must be some other options as this does not always work either

hey sub
same equipment here, from day one ,,, these pumps are made durable the little valve in there can be indecisive. still happens to me way after the break in period. one trick is to press the deflation button squeeze your dick, and then try for the pop sound, sometimes you may have to do this a few times.
some mornings mine doesn't pop at all but it still actually pumps normally. ( i have a dog ear on left tube that bugs me so I add 3 pumps for my day) hope this helps brother

I second the above: depress the valve.

I agree with cbinspok and fuckedOne.

To deflate I routinely press and hold the release button and squeeze my dick with the other hand at the same time. I've never had a problem with the valve doing that. Once I feel the cylinders start to deflate, I release the button and continue to deflate by squeezing until complete flaccid. Otherwise, I'm extremely careful to not squeeze the bulb and release button at the same time which can cause a problem.

subhash, See my experience and solution/s for a similar problem with my own LGX:
Sudden collapse of MS pump bulb when cycling

If you read the operating room manual via the link it has some answers, e.g. on page 30.
Note: DO NOT squeeze the deflation button and the pump bulb at the same time.

Pump bulb dimpled or collapsed
• Squeeze the deflation button to refill the pump bulb
Move fingers away from the deflation button
Reactivate with a firm pump bulb squeeze
Inflate normally

• If this does not resolve the problem, squeeze the sides of the deflation block to refill the pump bulb
Then, squeeze the deflation button for 2-4 seconds to reset the lock-out mechanism prior to attempting inflation
Reactivate with a firm pump bulb squeeze
Inflate normally

• Do not squeeze the deflation button and the pump bulb at the same time
