Objective

To analyse data from patient information forms (PIFs) submitted to the manufacturer of a new three-piece inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP), the Rigicon Infla10®, to summarize early outcomes.
Methods

A retrospective review of PIFs from 319 patients implanted with the IPP between 6 January 2019 and 31 December 2021 was performed to assess device durability and rates of reoperation for infection, mechanical failure or medical reasons.
Results

The mean ± sd (range) follow-up was 21.2 ± 11 (5–36) months and the mean ± sd patient age was 58.5 ± 8.7 years. Of the total, 4.4% of devices required removal or revision. Complications included mechanical failure (2.5%) and component migration (0.7%). No infections were observed in this series. One patient (0.4%) required revision for inadequate straightening of Peyronie's disease. Three patients (0.9%) requested device removal because of dissatisfaction. A total of 95.6% of the Rigicon Infla10 devices were free from explant or revision 21 months after the original implant date. Kaplan–Meier analysis showed the rates of cumulative survival of the device at 12, 24, 36 months were 95.6%, 94.7% and 93.7%, respectively.
Conclusions

The vast majority of the early Rigicon Infla10 IPPs implanted prior to January 2022 were included in this retrospective analysis of volunteered PIFs. These early results demonstrate initial durability from reoperation equivalent to that of other contemporary devices.

That’s very informative. I wonder why anybody would elect to have the device removed though. Once the operation is done, they’re dependent on a prosthesis, and it doesn’t seem like a better alternative exists. Anyway, this is very encouraging!!

Also, sorry for the double post. For some reason, I can only access this forum on my cell phone, and that makes it much more cumbersome to work with.

If a patient is completely done having sex, it makes sense to have the device removed to have better comfort and range of motion

I agree. Makes total sense. Someone might want to remove it when their wifey loses interest in sex or starts to look like a granny. That said, I'm not sure if some men can give up porn and masturbation. Is hand (non-sex toy) masturbation still possible after removal?

I don't think that Rigicon is different than AMS and Titan in inflation or longitudinal expansion. No implant will give more than the length that you come to the operation room with.
After the surgery, your dick will be smaller, which is normal, and with regular cycling, you will get back to what you had before. The only reason that can affect this is if your surgeon undersizes you, otherwise, everything should get back to normal.
No one can confirm if Rigicon is better than AMS or Titan since it is still new in the market, and being installed by surgeons outside the US, while the other two are worldwide.
From what I learned here, most patients opt for Rigigon malleable because of it is easy to conceal with 135 degrees bendability, but I don't no about comparisons with inflatable implants.

I was initially going to get the Rigicon, based on it being a good product as far as I can tell, but also more heavily discounted compared to the others, since it was newer and still trying to gain marketshare. The discount was significant enough.

However, the surgeon I am going with prefers the AMS and has much more experience with it that he is offering almost the same price for rigicon vs ams.

Thats the reason I switched , same prices and surgeon more comfortable with the AMS.

On a complete separate note, I think this thread has gone off topic to a rigicon analysis instead of the original question regarding the quality of Istanbul clinics.

I think Istanbul is a hotbed for this procedure and its doctors are likely just as experienced as Europe or N America (yeah technically Istanbul is Europe too, but barely, with one half across the river in another continent :)
56, Mild ED started 20 years ago, Pills very effective for first 12 years. Then High Blood Pressure made ED much worse. Pills inconsistent now. Dont like needles. Planning IPP now, probably Rigicon Infla10 AX, to be done overseas.

I didn't lose any length. However, I did train intensively with the VED before the surgery. I don't want to advertise Rigicon here, but simply help and share my experience and knowledge. My health insurance would have covered any model, but my doctor has had very good experiences with Rigicon and, based on tips from his clinic, recommended Rigicon for redesigning the tubing and connections, which was then implemented with the new Pulse model in April 2024. He has had very few revisions with it, mostly infections or implants incorrectly installed by other clinics. I now know many users who have Rigicon implants and are very satisfied. I can't comment on the Istanbul model
