Younger patient choosing implant (Eid / Titan) – concern about concealment

Postby Lawrence13 » Tue Mar 24, 2026 10:52 pm

I’m scheduled for an implant with Dr. Eid on April 14. As many know, he primarily uses the Coloplast Titan.

I’m trying to make the most informed decision possible and would really value input from guys who have lived with these devices.

About me:

• about to be 38. Active social life in nyc
• Mild unilateral fibrosis (left side) from prior injections
• 7-7.2inch length with injections/ 5 inch girth at base, under 5 further up the shaft due to scar tissue.
• socially active/ will be single life dating after implant.
• Most of my life is spent in the flaccid state
. 6’1 height. 175-180 pound lean build with lean legs. Baggy cloths don’t look good on me…. Especially pants.

My main concern is everyday concealment, not rigidity.

I’ve read that Titan can sit more semi-rigid when flaccid, which can make it more noticeable in clothing. That worries me. Some young guys on here have gone so far as to replace their functioning titans with ams because the Titan flaccid bothered them so much. I don’t want to fix ED and then feel self-conscious in daily life trying to hide it. Problem is Eid is all Titan. Didn’t even discuss ams with me.

Questions:
1. For Titan users, how noticeable is it day to day?
2. Does concealment become easy over time, or is it always something you think about?
3. For AMS (LGX/CX) users, is the flaccid state actually more natural?
4. If you were in your early 30s again, would you choose the same device?
5. Has anyone chosen AMS over Titan specifically for concealment, even with some fibrosis?

Not trying to start a brand debate. Just want honest, real-world feedback before surgery.

Appreciate any insight, including regrets if you have them.
38 nyc. Great sexlife 18-31. Ed at 32, Trimix/bi mix last 5 years. Confidence gone, spontaneity gone. Scar tissue building up. I want my life back. Surgery with Eid confirmed for April 14.

Hey Lawrence - I know your post is tailored more towards the IPP / Titan guys - but I actually was just posting a bit about concealment today in my MPP journal and figured its relevant here.

My Rigi10 malleable hangs at about 4.5 o clock naturally, and closer to 5 with tighter underwear / compression boxers. I’m at 9 weeks healing - the compression boxers are admittedly not comfortable after awhile. But when I combine the compression boxers with high rise trousers, my implant is pretty much COMPLETELY concealed.

I’ve posted about higher rise trousers in my journal a bit - they are generally wider in thighs and groin due to the cut and how they drape. This is VERY different from just loose + baggy pants. My trousers look great and you can still take them into the tailor to taper the legs a bit below the knee for a more modern look.

I shove my dick down the left or right leg (I like to alternate throughout the day, it makes it more comfortable right now switching it up due to the tighter underwear). Then, I move my wallet to the pocket closest to my dick. Completely concealed.

I wear the Taza from Casatlantic - they aren’t cheap but they are INCREDIBLY comfortable and I’d wager that with an IPP + some supportive underwear + a higher rise pant, you’d likely be in very good shape.

This is what the cut looks like, pulled this image from Casatlantic’s model photos. You’ll notice these are actually a flat-front pant, no pleats or anything. Pleats would make the pant even MORE comfy and even easier to conceal an implant, but not everyone likes that style as it can look a bit old fashioned to some guys.

1. I notice it sometimes and it can feel uncomfortable. Other times i don't feel it at all
2. Concealment is a non issue in my experience. I can wear everything i want. I'm average sized though, 6 inches
3. -
4. I'm in my 30s and would choose a different brand on a revison. I don't like the titan in the deflated state. It's way too large in the deflated state and it can make things uncomfortable for me. I also think it's too rough on the tissue if your corpora is not super wide. I think the titan is something for guys with above average girth.
5. -

I know Eid shits on AMS, some other surgeons prefer it. It certainly has downsides, like possible tissue ingrowth if your cylinder ruptures which makes revisions more complicated, possible less axial rigidity (unlikely to be a problem imo), more angeled exit tubing, larger pump.

But like you mentioned, you spend most of your life deflated. I personally will accept the trade offs when i get a revision. Might even get a rigicon AX.

If i could do it again i'd probably chose a conservatively sized LGX. I'm just about 4.7 inches girth and feel the titan is too large for me deflated.

Since i'm young, my main concern now is longterm tissue health and i think that i'm better off with a smaller (deflated) and softer implant.

This is just my experience, i know there are guys with similar girth which are happy with their Titan

It sounds like you’ll need a 24-26cm Titan. If you wear tight clothing, it will be noticeable if people care to look. An implant is more rigid than natural tissue, and doesn’t expand & contract like tissue. You will be a “shower” after an implant. As an example, erect my penis is 8.25-8.5” long depending on how engorged my head is, and over 6” around. But even flaccid it’s 7.75” and over 5” around. I was warned about this, but I was still a little surprised.

If you are 7-7.2”, be prepared to be 6.5” or more when deflated, and it will show if you wear tight pants.

Pre-op erect measurements:
8.5"L and 6.5"C

Post-op: 8”L and 6”C at one week.
8.5” and 6”C at three weeks with full glans engorgement

I have a 24cm Titan implanted by Dr. Eid and, generally, concealment hasn't been an issue. It’s fine in regular jeans, chinos, dress slacks, suits, and even swim trunks. I look like a man with a normal bulge, but nothing out of the ordinary or explicit that draws unwanted attention.

The only exception is thin 'tech fabric' pants. Because they are lightweight, slim-cut, and stretchy, they tend to be too form-fitting. They show the outline too clearly—not necessarily looking erect, but just too revealing. Those are the only clothes I feel I can't wear anymore. Honestly, I don't think switching to an AMS would have made a difference with that specific type of fabric.
