implant approved
Hi, insurance approved the implant and now I need to pick a date. I'm nervous and scared. A lot is racing through my mind: how to hide it, how long I will be down, if I will be able to cum, and what size I will end up with.

Re: implant approved
Congrats, getting the insurance approval can be the toughest thing to complete.
I feel you being nervous. My implant was the first surgery ever at 68 years old. And all I knew was this was going to allow me to have erections again. You will have a bulge after, hiding it for the first few weeks is all you need to worry about. Most guys report no size lost. What works now will work after you heal up. Depends on what you do for a living and your current health status to determine time needed to heal.

guy123, congrats on making the hard decision and getting insurance approval. You'll find lots of threads on FT for all those concerns. The answers are specific to each guy's health status, physiology and surgical outcome. For me I had a very positive surgical outcome, horrible recovery due to post-op injury -- than knocked me out for about 6 weeks, gradually regained most sensation from 4 mo to 1 yr, and regained pre-op size over ~9 months. Look forward to hearing about your journey !

Since you commented on mine I’m returning the favor. As you know I’m absolutely terrified as well. I just keep reading all the stories of guys whose lives were changed for the better. I’m very scared, but I’m more scared of living another 5-10 years of the prime of my life in the shackles of this condition. I just want to give my self the chance at a better quality of life.
38 nyc. Great sexlife 18-31. Ed at 32, Trimix/bi mix last 5 years. Confidence gone, spontaneity gone. Scar tissue building up. I want my life back. Surgery with Eid confirmed for April 14.

This was exactly my own mentality. I was very scared but knew in my gut I needed to fight for myself and the future of my sex life and well being!

It’s so good to hear other guys who reached that same mindset. I can’t imagine a better reason to be brave than this.
