Hi bionic brothers,
I have another thread going through the issues I've had, I am getting a mri booked to review the situation.
What im beginning to wonder is has anything had a corrective surgery for tip placement, if so it would be really helpful if you could answer some questions:
how successful was it?
What was recovery like?
Any side effects like loss of sensation or length?
Thank you in advance

Sorry you have to deal with this man.
Can't give you an answer on your questions yet, but i'll have to do a similar fix. My tip isn't showing like yours, but it's causing me discomfort and occasionally pain.
I've talked to Clavell about this and he said it should be adressed so it doesn't get worse.
Imo you should get it fixed asap.
Good luck

Thank you for the kind words.
I have to ask you have been to dr Ralph from your signature, how did you find him?
Also I'm curious how your now going to US, i assumed you've moved cause i would not fancy a plain trip of that length after a op, would be brutal!

Re: Corrective surgery
I went to Ralph only for a suspensory ligament repair surgery before i got my implant.
I found him alright, this surgery went well and was uneventful.
Yeah having to go to the other side of the world for this is not fun or cheap for sure.
I had my initial implant surgery in USA, Houston. I was there for just like 4 days and flew back home to europe.
For my (probably) upcoming surgery, i'll go to the US again and i'll go with Hakky. For a matter as important as this, it's worth the hassle for me to get the best surgeron for the job. This time will be more logistically annoying though, as i wanna stay in the US 4-6 weeks during recovery (cause this is the most critical time for infection)
Thankfully i can stay with a friend there.
For you, i do think that Ralph has the skill to fix you. Stuff like this can happen with every surgeon i guess..
Good luck, keep us posted

Re: Corrective surgery
Ouch! That don’t look good. I’ve been implanted for almost 4 years and both my tips are way too close to the underside. Will say not nearly as bad as yours. I had consult with Clavell a few weeks ago to get this corrected along with a few other issues of placement of reservoir. He said it’s definitely a displacement of tips too low in the gland and he could repair it by doing a tunneling procedure and or a thing called glansplexia which actually makes two very small inversions on back side of glands just below the crown and anchoring the tips in the proper position. I hate that you’re not going back to Clavell with this issue as he would surely correct it! Maybe even on his cost. Have you done a zoom -teleconference with Clavell and showed home the problem? I have put a ton of confidence in Clavell to correct my issues which appear to be yours but not In Such a bad way. Anxiously following to see what you find out.

Re: Corrective surgery
Hi all wanted to post an update.
Took a couple weeks to arrange the mri a ralph went in a conference.
My issues still persist shaft curves up and left, right tip sits shorter and lower causing it be be very apparent on the underside of my penis.
Got the feedback yesterday and to be honest im fucking disgusted, I got one sentence sent by his secretary saying its normal. I've dropped a screenshot of the email on here.
I would have expected a phone call or at least a summary afyer paying £1k. Even if it was my anatomy, like there is a bit of scar tissue here or this is shaped a certain way. Any sort of feedback but no one sentence he couldn't even be bothered to send himself.
I've gone back in more polite terms and said im surprised how brief the explanation was and if he can advise anything specific, although I suspect im wasting my time. I've also ask for a copy of the scan so I have the option to take this elsewhere.
Beginning to wish I had not chosen him to do the surgery.

Re: Corrective surgery
Sorry to hear it man.
I suggest you contact some turkish doctors. Thats what i did with my problems and the service and care is just 100 times better than with western doctors. They consulted me for free and are very responsive. I found the two i talked to to be very competent. I'd send them your MRI images and let them evaluate. You could even fly over there, get a new MRI and examination, stay in a hotel 1 night for less than the 1k pounds you paid Ralph.
No need to get surgery there if you don't feel comfortable, but i've had a very good expereince in them adressing my issues and offering solutions.
Good luck man

Re: Corrective surgery
Quick update I've now have the mri back from Ralp and the radiologist offered has included the comments below. Seem to have been confirmed what I was saying the whole time
Findings.
There is an IPP in situ.
Both cylinders lie in their respective corpora and there is no crossover.
Proximately the rear tip extenders lie within the crura with no erosion.
Distally the tunica on the left appears intact although there is a small bulge into the glans of the tunica
(coronal T2 image 7) that is presumably the site of the pull-through stitch.
On the right distally the tunica also appears intact however laterally it is difficult to identify and while no
definite erosion is identified, the tip is snug against the tunica.
There is no deformity to the glans.
No fluid is seen surrounding the cylinders.
The reservoir lies in the left iliac fossa and appears appropriately sited. It has some mass effect on the left
lateral wall of the bladder.
The pump line within the left hemiscrotum. There is a small amount of fluid around the pump tubing, which
measures a maximum depth of 2.5 cm. No fluid is seen around the reservoir tubing.
The bulb and glans appear unremarkable.
No size significant inguinal or pelvic adenopathy is seen.
The prostate is not enlarged and no obvious focal lesion is identified.
Both testes have been included on the scan and appear unremarkable.
Conclusion.
1. The cylinders lie in their respective corpora and there is no crossover. Distally on the right at the tip lies
snugly against the tunica but there is no definite erosion. There is definitely no erosion on the left.
2. There is small amount of fluid around the pump and pump tubing in the left hemiscrotum which I
presume is simply post-operative.
3. The reservoir and tubing appear unremarkable

Re: Corrective surgery
Just saw Ralph has also included a letter, which he now says he wanted to wait until June for any adjustment to see how things settle and if they improve.
To be honest I dont think that's a unfair thing to say, im unsure why this wasn't communicated in the first email. I want to do what is clinically best not rush it.
But does anyone with more experience know if waiting is the best corse of action?
