When to stop vaccum and traction before the surgery?

Is it safe to vacuum and traction until the surgery day to maximize the benefits or body can do the opposite and the tissues retract

I pumped the night before and was exactly the same length after surgery.

It isn’t like there are any studies on this but I don’t think there is any reason to worry.
Oct 7, 2025 - Coloplast Titan XL - Touch pump - 26cm - 0.5cm RTE with Jonathan Clavell. Still sorting out TRT; plan to try a "modified natty" approach without injections.

There are numerous surgeons on line that advise stopping pumping one week prior to surgery. I discussed this with my surgeon and he advised the same thing. This is to avoid possible bruising of the area prior to the surgery.
74 YO (1951). Happily married since 1972 (A couple since 1968). ED since age 60. Viagra, then Cialis, Trimix & Quadmix, VED. AMS 700 with 21cm CX (+ 1cm RTE left side) implanted using Infrapubic procedure Jan 21, 2026.
