Where is the deflation button???

Postby toronto83 » Fri Mar 06, 2026 1:07 am

Hey guys,

I’m 2 weeks post-op and still in the recovery phase after being implanted with a Titan Touch.

The pain has become more manageable over the past two days, but I still can’t stand for long periods. My doctor advised me not to do anything until our first follow-up appointment in 3 weeks.

I still have noticeable swelling in my scrotum. I’ve been trying to mentally simulate how inflation and deflation would work (without actually attempting it). The issue is that although I can feel the pump, I cannot feel the deflate button at all. The whole area feels very tight, almost as if the pump is stuck or glued to the skin, and I can’t even locate my left testicle.

Is this normal at this stage of recovery?

Before surgery, the surgeon mentioned some concerns because he thought my scrotum might be small. However, after the procedure he said the skin was actually very flexible and that my scrotum appeared quite large once I was under anesthesia.

Has anyone experienced something similar, or have any recommendations? I’m worried that the deflate button might end up being inaccessible after recovery.

I don’t have a titan, so I can’t help you with how to “feel out” where the deflate button is. But I can say it is entirely normal to not be able to feel it just yet. It’s the swelling. I actually had the same experience, including coming on here to ask how to find the deflate button. I managed to figure out how to pump it up even more, but could not get it to deflate! It took another week or two as I recall before I could locate it.

So don’t worry about it. Swelling will go down and you’ll be able to deflate just fine soon.

Be well,
Leto

I echo Letomam
I have the AMS700, but i believe the bulb configuration is pretty similar on your manufacturer.
My modus operandi was to lie down with the pump sample I was given and get acquainted with it visually and by touch. I figured my thumb would actually be utilized to press the deflate button, so that’s how i approached it.go from touching the mock-up to feeling around inside your scrotum, whenever all the swelling goes down, and just roll things around until you can identify the parts by touch while you’re looking at the sample. I couldn’t find my right testicle amongst the swelling and the pump, and mused that the doc had simply removed it to make room for the pump LOL . That isn’t the case, obviously.
I had so many of the same thoughts as you’ve stated, and I’m sure many of us went through the same process. Come on back if you need to chat. We’re all here for you..

I am 6 weeks post-op and I experienced some of the same issues in the first couple of weeks. It was very difficult to manipulate the pump and pull it down, much less find the deflate button. You didn't specify which procedure you had, either the Infrapubic or Penoscrotal. If you had the Penoscrotal, you likely are experiencing more swelling than if you had the Infrapubic procedure. I had the Infrapubic procedure, and had very little scrotal swelling.

Little swelling notwithstanding, it was still difficult to maneuver the pump, much less find the deflate button at two weeks. As others have described on other FT threads, there feels like a lot of jelly like substance in the scrotum around the pump and testicle. But, from week 2 to week 3, things started getting much better. It became much easier to pull on the pump, massage the area and feel the pump and deflate button. This improvement continued day by day and week to week. I had my 6 week post-op exam yesterday and all is good and got the go ahead to do what I really want to do, use it!

One thing that worked very well for me was shower time. I have a detachable shower head on a hose, and I would get the water very warm and would run the water directly on my scrotum for an extended time. This really helped. If your incision is completely healed, and should be after two weeks, you could get into a tub (my 75 YO body does not get up out of a tub easily, so not an option for me) and get things very warm that way. The shower worked well for me allowing gravity to help while having my legs spread apart. Made finding and pulling much easier.

All the best to you for a speedy recovery.

You are still very early in your recovery, and swelling within the scrotum can linger for a surprisingly long time. Be patient. I couldn’t find my deflate button at two weeks either. But, eventually, as my body had sufficient time to recover, I began to find it easily. You’ll get there.

Had the same issue when I got my Titan. Between the swelling and soreness trying to find the tiny button was near impossible. Actually, it was impossible for me. Besides those issues I have lack of feeling in my fingers. Had to go back to my surgeon twice to get deflated! At 2 weeks out I would not touch anything. Don't risk messing with it and breaking it.

I would be careful about the skin starting to adhere to your sack skin. Mine started to do that durning my early stages of recovery and my doctor recommended to do my best to gently pull the skin away from the pump and keep it separated. It hurt but I knew it had to be done and would hurt much more if it progressed. Once it was "free floating" and the pain reduced, things got much better and easier with inflating and deflating. Talk to your doctor to confirm, but you definitely don't want it adhering.

You’ve been exactly where I am right now and it’s a relief knowing that everyone ends up finding the release button :)

My scrotum swelling lasted a good while. I went back at 3 weeks and was supposed to start cycling but I was still too swollen. Came back two weeks later and was able to deflate and pump back up (doc left me about 50% inflated after surgery).

One thing you’ll figure out is finding the pump buib is much easier that finding the deflate “button”. I have the Titan touch and to deflate you squeeze the sides of the block about the bulb. It’s always a little hard to find (or maybe I’m just exhausted) because you squeeze the short sides vs the longer sides.

I’ve enjoyed my bionic dick for a little over a year now and it was well worth the pain and discomfort. It still takes some getting used to. One, you’ll never be flaccid again. You’ll either be inflated or deflated and you’ll find that your size won’t vary that much between the two. I’ve used several different brands of underwear to find one that holds my dick tighter to much body and then wear loose jeans or shorts. Otherwise you’ll look like you’re sporting a boner all the time.

Another thing I learned from experience is that even though I can get hard anywhere anytime, it’s not always the smart decision. My wife is not a fan of marathon intercourse and I remember one day I had been to the gym, cut the yard and done some other chores and she was suddenly in the mood. Of course I said yes - I’m a guy - but I just couldn’t cum and the longer we went the less happy she was…we’re older - both 68 - so I have to keep in mind that just because my dick is nicknamed EveryReady doesn’t mean every time is good…we’re once or twice a week and usually mid morning when we’re both rested and have some energy.

You will definitely enjoy your toy and hopefully your wife will as well.

Haha, yeah, that was it. Note that was at three weeks, you are only at two. The swelling will go down soon.

Welcome to the brotherhood, by the way. Recovery takes a bit of a time and you’ll be getting better and better over the weeks and months to come. Just remember that it takes some getting used to, but eventually you are going to love it.

Be well,
