Postby Mangotin » Thu Mar 05, 2026 4:34 am

I’m 26 y suffering from psychological ED trying therapy alot but useless. Medication works but side effects is unbearable had a mild congenital curvature affects me mentally not functionally went to 4 plication surgeries but failed. After knowing that implant specially coloplast titan can makes me a shower with a big hang that is extremely important to me and will makes me very confident and increase my erect girth by time and also correct my mild curvature so i find it full of advantages why not doing it ? I’m ok that i will need to replace it couples of time in the future

In my opinion, definetly don't get an implant yet.
You're only 26, and your issues are not physical. Work on your mind, you have time.

If your curve isn't bothering you functionally, leave it be, girls don't care.

About the big flaccid hang, now that i have an implant, trust me is miss the small falccid hang. Much more comfortable than a titan i guarantee it.

The implant has advantages but also disadvantages and risks. At 26 with no physical problems, this would be unreasonable to do. Try EVERYTHING else first.

An implant isn’t like breast implants, it’s not to make your dick hang better, look better, or anything other than restoration of function.

If pills work for you, try to find ways to mitigate the side effects and stick with them. There will likely be additional medications and treatments in the future, and at your age and level of function you have time on your side to wait for them.

At 26, given average American lifespan, you will likely need at least five revisions in your life. That’s a lot of surgeries, and by the fourth one your chance of infection will likely be 10% or higher. That adds complication, long recovery time, additional revisions, and potentially loss of length or function.

Keep using the pills, and talk to your urologist about how to manage side effects. I had ED off and on my whole life, but still had great sex with medications until I went for the implant in my late 50s. Put it off as long as you can.

Before considering an implant, it’s really important to make sure you’ve exhausted all the other treatment options that are available.

Have you tried the full range of legitimate oral medications? For example:
• Tadalafil (Cialis) — both the daily low-dose regimen and higher on-demand doses
• Sildenafil (Viagra)
• Vardenafil (Levitra)
• Avanafil (Stendra)

Have you experimented with a quality constriction ring to help slow venous outflow?

Have you tried intracavernosal injections? Options like monomix, bimix, or trimix can be extremely effective for many men.

And just as important — have you been fully evaluated by a urologist who specializes in men’s sexual medicine? Many urologists mainly focus on kidney stones or prostate issues, and erectile dysfunction isn’t always their area of expertise.

If you haven’t explored all of those options, it’s worth doing so before moving to surgery.

If you have tried everything, then an implant can absolutely be a good solution. In that case, I would strongly recommend choosing a high-volume implant surgeon. Experience matters a lot with this procedure, especially when it comes to things like proper sizing and achieving the best functional result.

It’s also important to go in with realistic expectations. As others have mentioned, a penile implant will not make your erect penis longer or thicker than your natural erectile size. It isn’t a penis-enhancement procedure — its purpose is simply to restore reliable erectile function.

That said, knowing you can get and maintain an erection whenever you want can be a huge boost to confidence and quality of life.

Implants are also irreversible, so it’s a decision that deserves careful thought. It has been a great solution for me personally, but I only pursued it after I had truly exhausted every other option.

My erectile problems started in my early 20s, but I still had occasional erections. From my early 30s onward, that was over, and I no longer had erections that lasted longer than 15 seconds.

I then went through the entire list of options, from all kinds of pills to injections to psychological help, because that was also very important to me; I was losing my self-confidence.

In retrospect, I'm very glad I tried all the other options, because even though I'm very happy now (I wrote another post today about how it changed my life), I'm also very glad I didn't have it done sooner. Having surgery is taking a risk and, moreover, destroying something that can never come back. A natural erection is simply never possible again. If you get an infection, your implant will have to be removed. These are really things to consider, and I personally think you shouldn't make this decision when you're still so young and have so many other options to try. In fact, I suspect it will be difficult to find a surgeon willing to perform the surgery at this age, especially if you haven't exhausted all other options.

I hope you feel better soon and are able to enjoy sex again (with or without assistive devices). Good luck, man.
