ElbowRoom wrote:I saw Dr. Hakky again yesterday. The seroma was visibly significantly reduced over the past week, so I was optimistic. Ultrasound revealed the original seroma was almost completely empty, just a tiny amount of fluid in the capsule. However there appeared to be some increased fluid around the pump area.
When I saw Hakky he agreed the original seroma looked much better, essentially just the empty capsule could be felt under the skin. As for the other fluid he said he could drain it but I’m showing no signs of infection and could just leave it alone. He was overall very pleased, and wants me to continue antibiotics another week and add an anti-inflammatory. I’ll see him in two weeks to confirm things are moving in the right direction, but for now everything’s looking good.
I told him I have a new girl and asked if I was cleared for activity. In typical Hakky manner he said “Yeah dude, bang her all you want!”![]()
So we’re keeping an eye on things but it’s looking really good right now. Me and my girl are both very relieved!
Dude Hakky’s mannerisms crack me up. After surgery he sent me a video post op of the end result of the surgery, narrating the details of the sizing of my rods, etc. He started the video by saying “YOUR DICK IS FIXED, MY FRIEND!”
Elbow, I’m really glad to hear these developments. I’m slowly settling into this idea that going forward with the implant is a lifelong commitment - both for IPPs but ALSO for MPPs. Things will come up. Strategy and adjustments might need to happen. But ultimately, the foundational cornerstone is an excellent surgeon, and being able to stay cool and weigh out all your options as things come up. And you’re doing all that my friend!
