Exposed tubing/reservoir

I’m 5 days post implant and noticed a nodule above my pubic bone that is tender and sore. Pretty confident it’s the tubing. It rubs on the pubic bone when I walk . Anyone have something similar? Will it eventually smooth out ? I had a penoscrotal and real thin if that matters. It wasn’t there until the day after surgery. I wondering if the reservoir dropped .

5 days out, you will be noticing all kinds of things for months. relax, your body's first instinct is to get rid of the alien parts Lol
you're still swelling in all different ways, you are going to do great just know each day is better than the last. Talk to your doc about anything that seems off. next January, please post how you're doing.

Hi Coasty,

I am 4 weeks post-op today. I have an AMS 700 CX implant, so different than your Titan and my procedure was Infrapubic. But, I have experienced a similar "tubing" issue. Like you, I was concerned that the reservoir had dropped. At my 2 week follow-up exam, the PA said nope, it's the tubing, the reservoir was where it was supposed to be.

The tubing discomfort I was experiencing was where the individual tubes basically make a 180 degree turn from the pump into the individual implants. This was on my right side close to my pubic bone, and it was quite tender. It caused a burning sensation and was quite uncomfortable, sitting or walking. The only solution for me was to focus a lot of ice therapy on that spot in addition to the icing of my scrotum. Ice didn't eliminate the tubing discomfort needless to say, but did make the discomfort manageable.

Now, at 4 weeks out, I still notice the tubing sometimes when I sit, but the discomfort is negligible. As suggested elsewhere on FT, ice is critical, and I quickly realized that as well. Not just for the swelling, but helping for discomfort. My current situation at 4 weeks, vs 5 days out, is as different as daylight and dark. Keep icing, a lot, and you will start seeing daily improvement. I'm 2 weeks out from my "activation" post-op with the doctor and I can hardly wait.

I'm on day 23 and until recently I felt a burning sensation in the reservoir hoses above my pubic area.
It subsided over the days and today I can feel the hoses under my skin with my fingers, but I no longer have the burning sensation.
My surgery was infrapubic.
