Urinate post implant

Postby Coasty » Mon Feb 16, 2026 10:13 am

I was implanted with a Titan on Friday and checking to see anyone else had urination challenges. I have to use a handheld container since I can’t bend my penius down to the toilet at 30 percent inflated. Stream is weak and slow and incomplete. Can the cylinders impinge the urethra? Will it be easier deflated ?

Welcome to the bionic club. Yes, peeing after the surgery can be tough for a few days. The urethra is usually tender from the catheter insertion. Being partially inflated may cause part of the issue. I never had any issue peeing but do have to sit now so I don't wet the room. Using a urinal is a good idea.

OldGuy, do you mean you have to sit to pee now ever since you got the implant?

This would be a significant side effect I haven't heard of. I am due up in next couple months so this worries me

I'm 3 1/2 weeks out from implant, although I have an AMS 700 CX, but I don't think that makes any difference.

My first week was a bit strange when peeing. The stream was a bit weak when starting, then would pick up a bit. My biggest problem was after it started, it would flare out as the stream picked up. It was like a garden hose nozzle, starting on stream, then changing it to fan. So I was trying to keep it off the toilet sides/tank, the wall, the floor and my pants. That lasted for about a week and is much better now. My swelling going down was probably the biggest factor with the improvement.

I'm still inflated for another 2 1/2 weeks at 20 - 25% and I still have to be careful when initiating a stream, but very manageable now. I thinking that once I'm completely flaccid, any peeing problems I've had will completely disappear. At least that's my hope.

All the best to you for a good and successful recovery.

Hello, I had my Titan implant done on January 26, 2026. It's normal at the beginning. I used a urinal for a few days, and as soon as it deflated, I was able to urinate normally. I started cycles around day 9. I'm on day 21 and urinating normally with my penis deflated.

Coasty - congratulations on your Titan! I was implanted with a malleable about 4 weeks ago (Rigi10) and had all sorts of urinary challenges. It really freaked me out, but is extremely common. My surgeon prescribed me a course of Alfuzosin which helped me a bit. I would’ve survived without it but I do think it moved things along a bit. It took me a week or two for the main urination issues to start to settle, then between Week 2 and Week 3 things started evening out more.

I had a lot of issues - pelvic floor guarding, hesitancy, BURNING, weak stream, dribbling after peeing. They have all almost completely resolved. The only one that remains is mild burning - but this seems to be directly correlated to soreness from getting used to my malleable implant in clothing.

If you want to cross compare or read any details, I’ll link my journal. You can skip to page 3 to skip my background and such, page 3 is where my post-surgery journaling starts. Up to Week 4 so far I’ve done at least one entry a day, so could give you a sense of the urinary challenges.

TLDR: I just went through this, it sucked but things have improved tremendously already at Week 4.

Thanks for the feedback. Reassuring that I’m not the only one and once deflated hopefully back to normal.

I bet deflating will help a bit. Dr Perito actually mentions in one of his “Meet The Penis” videos (I forget which one) that some guys with inflatables will give it a pump or two to prevent dribbling after urination. So it stands to reason that by being inflated right now + all the swelling and such, you’ve got a bunch working against you! Very normal.
