AMS700 TENACIO PUMP RECALL - LIFESPAN

Postby staphylococcusecoli » Tue Feb 10, 2026 3:01 am

I recall some members mentioning last year that the Tenacio pump was cycle-tested for 10K cycles and 10 years of use. If anyone has access to the brochure, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could share it. I'm also curious does the AMS 700 Tenacio pump recall have any connection to the pump's lifespan or is it comparable to the MS Pump? Thank you for any insights you might have.

Just discovered this, but it lacks details on reliability data through cycle testing.

staphylococcusecoli, mine is on the recall list but not affected. What I was told is that the early defect was related to ease of pumping -- no mention of it affecting lifespan. Since mine is working fine I turned down my Dr's offer to replace it, and he thought that was reasonable.

It was actually 1000 not 10,000 cycles. I asked Grok this and it too said this was really low. However, it explained the 1000 cycles was a benchmark, meaning its tested for 1000 cycles but that this has nothing to do with its actual lifespan (which is for thousands of cycles).

Ya dig?
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.
