Sounds like you're doing well. I had a hard time bending until week 6. I think it was more psychological about the 6 week milestone. :D

Sorry if you've already posted, were your rods inserted using a penoscrotal or subcoronal incision? Were you already circumcised in the past? I wasn't, and hence I was not able to retract my foreskin over the glans, and it was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning.

Cause for subcoronal is circumcision always required ?

WEEK 3 - Update:

Wow. I can’t believe I’m already at Week 3. It’s actually wild to think it’s been about 21 days since my surgery and how far I’ve come.

Pain / soreness: very minimal now. I still get occasional nerve zaps on penis and around the incision site, but it’s still healing and that’s completely normal.

Urethral discomfort: SIGNIFICANTLY improved. I don’t notice the urethral discomfort really much at all lately. Burning after peeing has continued to get better and better, and now is pretty rare.

Swelling: continues to improve, the majority of the swelling at this point has resolved and I’m just left with some mild residual swelling and bruised appearance.

Size: about 4.5 inches length (NON BONE PRESSED), 4.75 inches girth is where I’m hovering. This falls within my “success” criteria for my malleable implant and I’m happy. Bone pressed, my length is closer to just under 5 inches.

Pelvic floor guarding: gone.

Awareness of implant: it’s already starting to feel like “my dick”. It IS my dick. But obviously it still feels “new”…. but no longer feels like a strange foreign set of rods, if that makes sense. This has been SUCH a surprise to me this past week at how quick my brain has started to “accept” my Rigi10 as part of my body.

Comfort in clothing: this is still a bridge that needs to be crossed, and goes hand-in-hand with being able to bend and conceal the implant. My dick is still pretty much regularly sitting around 3 o clock, and I’ve been pretty much exclusively wearing exercise shorts and no underwear these past few weeks because it’s what’s most comfortable. I need to be able to start working the implant to tuck it down, and then pair it with comfortable but supportive boxer briefs to get it where it needs to go - otherwise, I’ll be walking everywhere with a boner poking the front of my pants - which not only looks problematic, but feels awful too.

Horniness  : this has increased dramatically in the last couple days as I’ve continued healing. I was ultra focused for the first two and a half weeks on just recovery woes - but since turning a significant corner, I’m now crawling out of my skin and so excited to use this thing. Bending is the next milestone for me, and I do suspect I’ll be waiting an extra week past when I’m officially “cleared” before actually using the implant for sex, just because I prefer to play things safe. But man… going another 2-3 weeks is going to be a true exercise in self control

Feeling really good about the progress I’ll make between now and Week 4. This weekend, I’m planning on starting to work the implant a bit more and might attempt a bend. We will see.

Hey Thisworld, subcoronal on uncircumcised carries high risk of lymphedema and paraphimosis. For uncircumcised, penoscrotal is recommended by high-volume malleable surgeons.

Boston Scientific and Rigicon include the following warnings in their brochures.

Rigicon:
Uncircumcised patients may have an increased risk of postoperative complications with the sub-coronal approach. Surgeons may wish to discuss performing a circumcision to reduce the risk of post-operative complications associated with this approach.

Boston Scientific:
For circumcised male, make a 3 cm distal subcoronal incision. For an uncircumcised male, consider an alternate incision to avoid compromising the foreskin.

Day 22 post op:

Not much to report from the front, all is quiet here for the moment, gents.

Soreness is very very mild and intermittent now, usually related to pressure on areas where there had been significant swelling.

Just hanging out, looking forward to slowly starting to bend next week.

Day 23 post op - THE JOURNEY OF CONCEALABILITY BEGINS:

Alright, so it’s Day 23. Today, I gently started working the implant again. I was able to “coax” it down to 4 o clock - ish area.

So I did something bold. I grabbed a pair of underwear that I suspect is one of my more “supportive” pairs, and tried walking around with the implant stowed down into it. The pain wasn’t THAT awful but it’s definitely there - I have soreness on top of glans and on the right side of my penis, where there is still some light swelling.

But once I got a bit more courageous, I put on a pair of jeans. Button front. The real stuff. Rigid. Straight fit. 100% cotton 501s.

As you probably guessed - this is… not comfortable. Not as unbearable as I thought it would be, but my member wants to push his way back to 4 o clock, so there’s a bit of pressure in all the wrong places and it is …. Not comfortable right now

Strictly speaking about CONCEALABILITY - in this state, it’s not that shabby. Even without the most OPTIMAL underwear and without the most OPTIMAL trouser combination, it’s way better than when I had to navigate the airport hunched over. Way better. I’d be…. maybe 60 - 65% okay right now walking around with it like this and not feeling self conscious of my new bulge  but I do need to try and find more “optimizations” with time to ensure better comfort AND concealability.

I suspect this will come from:

1) continued healing (comfort on glans and shaft pressure).

2) working the implant hinge and trying to get it to sit naturally closer to 5 o clock, if possible (this should help with comfort and concealability).

3) trying out proper compression boxer briefs with good space for my dick  . I’ve read from another user’s journal this helped with concealability and comfort.

4) trying out higher rise trousers with more space in the groin. I literally reached right for my rigid jeans like a psycho. These traditionally are a bit tighter on the crotch and medium rise at best. With a different pair of trousers, I bet comfort and concealability will both improve nicely.

Anyways - if anyone from the malleable brotherhood reads this and has more tips, PLEASE let me know!
