Corrective surgery

Postby Ljammmm » Fri Feb 06, 2026 12:55 pm

Hi bionic brothers,

I have another thread going through the issues I've had, I am getting a mri booked to review the situation.

What im beginning to wonder is has anything had a corrective surgery for tip placement, if so it would be really helpful if you could answer some questions:
how successful was it?
What was recovery like?
Any side effects like loss of sensation or length?

Thank you in advance

Sorry you have to deal with this man.

Can't give you an answer on your questions yet, but i'll have to do a similar fix. My tip isn't showing like yours, but it's causing me discomfort and occasionally pain.

I've talked to Clavell about this and he said it should be adressed so it doesn't get worse.

Imo you should get it fixed asap.

Good luck

Thank you for the kind words.

I have to ask you have been to dr Ralph from your signature, how did you find him?

Also I'm curious how your now going to US, i assumed you've moved cause i would not fancy a plain trip of that length after a op, would be brutal!

I went to Ralph only for a suspensory ligament repair surgery before i got my implant.
I found him alright, this surgery went well and was uneventful.

Yeah having to go to the other side of the world for this is not fun or cheap for sure.

I had my initial implant surgery in USA, Houston. I was there for just like 4 days and flew back home to europe.

For my (probably) upcoming surgery, i'll go to the US again and i'll go with Hakky. For a matter as important as this, it's worth the hassle for me to get the best surgeron for the job. This time will be more logistically annoying though, as i wanna stay in the US 4-6 weeks during recovery (cause this is the most critical time for infection)
Thankfully i can stay with a friend there.

For you, i do think that Ralph has the skill to fix you. Stuff like this can happen with every surgeon i guess..

Good luck, keep us posted

Ouch! That don’t look good. I’ve been implanted for almost 4 years and both my tips are way too close to the underside. Will say not nearly as bad as yours. I had consult with Clavell a few weeks ago to get this corrected along with a few other issues of placement of reservoir. He said it’s definitely a displacement of tips too low in the gland and he could repair it by doing a tunneling procedure and or a thing called glansplexia which actually makes two very small inversions on back side of glands just below the crown and anchoring the tips in the proper position. I hate that you’re not going back to Clavell with this issue as he would surely correct it! Maybe even on his cost. Have you done a zoom -teleconference with Clavell and showed home the problem? I have put a ton of confidence in Clavell to correct my issues which appear to be yours but not In Such a bad way. Anxiously following to see what you find out.
