Getting an implant with hakky
41 year old here. Planning to get an ipp with dr hakky this year. Have been dealing with ed since my 20s. Started using cialis 5, then stacking with viagra 25 to 100, and now trimix. Also used an ed ring. Tried prp, shockwave without relief. Had a duplex scan that showed mild venous leak but behaviorally, likely severe the way i think of it. I have no issues getting an erection but lose it so quickly. Doing ved daily. Finally excited but also nervous to have a date when all this will end. Made the decision when i could never seem to dial in trimix. Same dose would sometimes work too well and i get near priapism, or it would barely work that night. Also started having mild fibrosis (not peyronies) from injections. Otherwise fairly healthy, i workout regularly, and have an active sex life with my wife of 13 years.

Im going penoscrotal. How did he do yours? How was the recovery? He’s one of the best and certainly one of the most passionate in his field. Planning to just take 2 weeks off after surgery and back to work after. Which implant did he use for yours? You loving it? Thanks again.

Re: Getting an implant with hakky
Hey 1984, just popping in to say I’m a patient of Dr Hakky as well. I got a malleable (Rigi10) just under 2 weeks ago with him.
He’s very very good, and very responsive too post-surgery. I felt bad for the first few days post surgery because I was texting him a LOT of questions, but the man answered every single one.
You’ve picked a great doc!

ED since high school. Pills always hit or miss, mostly ineffective. Finally diagnosed with venous leak in early September 2025.
Rigi10 MPP 11mm rods 20 cm with 0.5 RTE.
Implanted w/ Dr Hakky on January 20, 2026. Recovering.

Thanks for that. Ive decided to make this account really as a way of reminding myself of this journey. What made you pick a malleable instead of an ipp? Im on the younger side to be needing an ipp but it seems like youre young as well. Hoping for a speedy and full recovery for you man.
My biggest concern has always been size loss with an ipp but hakky tells me ill probably not lose any size and may even gain some. My bone pressed flaccid stretched length is 7.25 inches. Girth is 6 inches.

There’s a whole bunch of reasons why the MPP was a good starting point for me. I’ve highlighted them in the first post of my thread “Johnnyborg’s Malleable Journey”, I’ll copy-paste that section here:

“So, why did I choose a malleable?
Ultimately, it comes down to knowing myself and the things I value most. The biggest factors were: I’m in my early thirties, I’m generally a very risk-averse person, I like the simplicity of the malleable device, and although I’m fortunate to have excellent health insurance right now, I might find myself switching employers down the line and there’s no guarantee my next insurance plan will cover future revisions. Even with all of those things - I was actually VERY close to proceeding with the Coloplast Titan - my thought process was “let’s try out the inflatable and switch to a malleable if the device fails too early”. But after sitting with things for awhile, I realized that the malleable is just a much better fit for my personality and the things I value as a patient.
But make no mistake - with the malleable, there are drawbacks that I’m prepared to have to accept and adapt to. Size loss is usually more prevalent with malleable devices - I’m already on the smaller side (5 inches stretched length

Here’s the thing though - I think most guys with insurance who are going to an EXCELLENT doctor like Hakky? You’re absolutely fine giving the IPP a go. Even if you’re younger. These high volume doctors really know what they’re doing. The IPPs are Hakky’s bread and butter. Are there some well known failure points of the IPPs? Of course there are - but over time, these things will continue being improved on (especially with competition ramping up from Rigicon, I believe they are launching a two piece inflatable soon).
And as for the size concerns, all I’ll say man is try and put it out of your mind if you can (I know it’s not easy). The IPPs are well-known for maintaining your size and even improving it like Hakky said. That’s one of their best advantages. The MPPs are the devices that have the highest risk of size loss, and that’s just by design. For reference, like I posted above, I got that short end of the stick in the size department
Anyways, apologies. Went on a bit of a tangent there. Just trying to say - keep collaborating with Hakky, you’ll land in a great place.

I had. Titan IPP dome with Hakky on October 21. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his practice. I had some minor complications (not Hakky’s fault) and he has been supremely helpful in getting me through them. He really cares about his patients and their outcomes.

Thanks so much. I will actually be getting the rigicon infla10ax through the trial he is in. He told me it was currently the largest (girth wise) but is not yet available in the us. I am hoping to maybe gain a half inch with it but will be pleased with just maintaining. You have an impressive size to begin with and the coloplast titan was the perfect one for you as i dont think the rigicon even has up to 28 cm. I have read your journal and wish you all the best in managing that seroma.

And of course, you need to learn to adapt to having a rigid rod in your penis / how to stow it / adapt to it as part of your body. These are all challenges that I’m anticipating. But I’m ready for it - because above all else, I want and deserve to have the sex life I’ve always wanted.”

I probably could’ve maintained this and maybe even improved on it had I gone with IPP, but mentally, I’m past it already. I just want a dick that WORKS. So now, post surgery, I’m anticipating being about 4.6 inches by 4.75 girth. The thing about malleables is that many dudes still get really decent engorgement with them, and so girth (and even a little size) sometimes comes back when they’re aroused. I’ll report on this in a month or so when I’m healed and ready to use it

Thanks buddy. Yah, i cant help but worry about the size issue, but also am glad to get this done now rather than later. Hakky told me there was no way i was not getting an implant in this lifetime. Even my first urologist i saw in my 20s predicted ill need one by the time i hit 50. Im 41, just doing it a little earlier. Hoping to get away with 2 or 3 revisions onlu
