My thinking was that if Hakky can’t bend it tomorrow, maybe it would be best to stay and have another follow up a week out to try again. But you’re right - I think getting home could be very good for me.

Im going to sort of play it by ear tomorrow. If Hakky feels like I’m recovering well enough to head home, I’m going to give it a go.

Day 5 post surgery - evening update:

Popping in to say that today was more of the same. Only comfortable position for me right now is laying down. Standing up and moving around is quite uncomfortable- not just with pressure from the implant on clothes, but also because I’m still getting burning around my swelling and edemas on account of gravity. This goes away COMPLETELY when my penis is pointed towards the ceiling.

I’m also still guarding with my pelvic floor - I suspect a lot of this is correlated with the pain I’m feeling, like my body is “bracing” for the pain. Going to talk to Hakky about it tomorrow.

Again, it’s difficult to not be a bit anxious about my recovery speed. I feel like a part of me was really expecting to be further ahead by now - but again, I’m trying to just stay positive and hope to turn a corner soon!
