As we get older, patience becomes part of the process even when it’s hard and sometimes life teaches us lessons the tough way. I’ll definitely keep you in my prayers, my brother. The best is still ahead.I’m on Day 4 of my own journey as well, and of course I’m sexless right now same for my wife and I’m pretty sure she needs it even more than I do (she’s younger ). But this is part of the process. One step at a time.Wishing you the best with your revision, and please keep us updated here. Stay strong.

Thank you! Best of luck with your healing and your soon-to-be-resumed sex life! I hope you and your wife will get to enjoy great sexual intimacy.

As for myself: a slightly more thorough Google search shows that the hospital where I'm scheduled to have the procedure is in fact not affected by the strike. Dr. Eid's office also confirmed that my surgery is still on. So I'm looking forward to Friday - with a certain amount of trepidation.

Revision surgery done
Finally, I have the revision surgery behind me. The healing has begun.

I got home from the hospital two hours ago and am now flat on my back in bed, as per Dr. Eid’s instructions. I didn’t get to see him after I woke up, but he called my husband and said everything had gone very well. I will contact him on Monday to get more details.

I seem to have been in the operating room for three full hours -- which may lead to another hefty check from the hospital; the amount I paid upfront covered only two hours’ OR time. Well, that’s one worry I’m not going to focus on right now.

For now, I’m just trying to get as comfortable as I can -- which turns out to be not very comfortable at all. It feels like I got kicked by a horse in the balls, and my dick feels like, well, like someone cut it open with a scalpel, I guess. I’m in more pain now than I remember being after my first implant surgery, in spite of having popped an Oxycodone in the backseat of the car as my husband drove me home. But I’m also very tired and suspect I will eventually just doze off. I’m looking forward to getting the next few days behind me.

First erection in three months

Today being the third day after my revision surgery, at six o’clock this morning, I unwrapped my cock and pulled out the catheter. No bruising at all, as opposed to the first time around, when my whole ballsack, part of the shaft, and big areas on my inner thighs were black and blue. Oh, the joy of not having a tube coming out of my dick! The freedom of not having to carry a bag of my own urine with me every time I get up. But I was exhausted from having slept very little the last three nights, so I just took a shower and went straight back to bed.

I’ve had quite a bit of discomfort and pain. It seemed impossible to arrange the catheter and my dick in such a way that the tube wouldn’t pull painfully against the opening of the urethra with every little movement. And spending too many hours flat on my back, as per Dr. Eid’s instructions, makes my back ache. I’ve been taking a Percocet every five or six hours, but I’ve still been too uncomfortable to be able to sleep much. Now, with the catheter out, and lounging instead of lying flat on my back, I feel like life is worth living again.

Dr. Eid famously tells you to start cycle the device as early as the third day after surgery – but that only applies to the original implantation. After revision surgery, he says you don’t need to cycle the device at all for the first two weeks; the spaces for the cylinders are already there and won’t contract around the unfilled cylinders. But I was eager to check that the new device works, so I asked him if it would be okay that I cycle it anyway, just for the painful fun of it! He had no objections.

Here is the result. Squeezing the pump was quite painful, so I didn’t succeed in pumping it up very hard. Still, this is far better than anything I’ve had in the three months since my implant broke. The erection was more painful than pleasurable, but still: it felt good just seeing myself being hard(ish) again. Come to think of it, it seems pretty incredible that you can put an artificial device like this into your body, and only three days later, before anything can really have healed, pump it up and produce an okay-looking erection.

Circumference was 5.5”. I was 6” before my implant failure, and 6.7” before getting implanted. I expect that it will be more than 5.5” when I’ve healed enough to pump it harder.

So, after three days of dick pain and back ache, I’m now feeling quite good. I’m happy to have the worst behind me and I think I will enjoy the healing process from here on.

Day 8 after revision surgery
It’s now been eight days since Dr. Eid replaced my broken Titan OTR with the older and, according to Dr. Eid, more robust model, the Titan Classic.

The healing process is certainly going faster than after my original implant surgery five years ago. Things are still tender and a bit uncomfortable, but I would no longer describe it as pain.

Except one thing: pressing the bulb still hurts. Dr. Eid says regular cycling is not necessary after revision surgery, but, I’m eager to test that the device works, and impatient to have erections again, so I’ve inflated it twice. The second time went a lot better than the first: I was able to pump it a lot harder and then left it inflated for twenty minutes, while taking a bath, without much discomfort.

Seeing my dick coming back is making me horny, so yesterday, I also tried gently masturbating. In spite of the tenderness, it felt mainly good, and I had no difficult getting myself off. After my original implant surgery, I didn’t feel comfortable doing it till day 12; this time it was day 7, so, yes, the healing process definitely seems to be going faster.

I also like my new flaccid better than the one I had after my implant failure. The completely drained cylinders kinked and crinkled, making my flaccid look so unsubstantial. Now it looks a bit fuller again, even when I deflate it as hard as I can. I like the look of it, and the feel of it in my hand. It still doesn’t quite dangle the way a non-implanted flaccid would, but I know that that will improve over the coming months, as the material in the cylinders softens up,

I’m also happy to now have the Classic pump, instead of the OTR. GoodWood is definitely right that the Classic one feels more natural. The difference is not the bulb itself, but the valve block on top of it. The OTR has squared-off edges and a release button that feels very much like the button on a technical device; you cannot miss that it’s an artificial, man-made thing. The valve block on the Classic feels like, well, not much like anything at all, just like part of the bulb. Because of that, it was a little harder for me to identify exactly where to press to deflate, but now that I’ve done it a couple of times, I don’t foresee it being any problem going forward. Rather, I’m sure it will soon be second nature.

As a final item on this list of things I feel good about: Dr. Eid shaved a smaller area this time. After my original surgery, I was shaved up to the navel, This time, I still have my happy trail down to just an inch above the root of my dick. I like having body hair; the less of it that’s missing, the better.

Now I can barely wait to start using my cock again.
