Classic Titan vs. Titan OneTouch

Postby QuestionGuy » Sat Jan 17, 2026 11:52 pm

Does anyone have knowledge about the differences between them?

My original surgeon preferred and installed the Classic (I guess that's what it's called) and new surgeon prefers the "one touch" for my upcoming revision.

The pump I have (classic) involves pinching two walls together against a spring (like a clothespin)

Because I'm being revised after only 6 years of very infrequent use, I'm really driving myself crazy trying to figure out what may have been root cause of failure., so I'm wondering it one pump is perhaps historically more stable?

The one touch has a nipple you press. It's supposed to be one touch of the nipple and it drains as you squeeze your shaft to help speed up emptying. Goto website of manufacturer. I have it and hold it while I squeeze.
Believe post prostate surgery I was around 5 inches down from 6. Never measured girth but post titan otr 20 cm seems thicker.

I swear there are two modes of deflate with OTR... it seems if I just press half-way, it lets out pressure only while pressing, and the valve is still in boner mode. Only I press like the devil and squeeze the cylinders does it seem to flip to open mode where you feel that click again the first time you squeeze the bulb again.

I have the Classic implanted by Dr Eid. He, and several of the other high volume docs seem to prefer the Classic over the One-Touch for durability and simplicity.

I would request the Classic again. The benefit of the One-Touch seems negligible to me.

I have the classic pump, which is what I wanted and my surgeon prefers. The tubing into the classic is in a line, whereas in the OTR pump they come into the pump in a triangle configuration, which can cause the tubes to rub together.

The OTR pump is quieter, so if that’s of value to you that’s a plus. I have grown to like the little moaning squeak of the Classic pump, it’s audible feedback that it’s working.

Either pump is fine, I think the OTR feature is hit and miss on whether it works as designed, or at least there’s some art to make it work right. I do like the large deflate bars on my Classic pump, they are easy to find and squeeze. Also the OTR pump is larger, with all that entails.

I just noticed for the first time getting the bulb to squish without any “rumble” on the release… this makes me think the Touch pump has a pressure limiter not a bypass like others have. It’s like it locks in both directions. Is the classic the same?

The Classic makes noise on the press, kind of a moaning squeak. I have not noticed any sound or vibration on release.

I got the Titan with the OTR implanted by Dr. Eid in 2021. It broke down in October last year. Dr. Eid said that the OTR has proven more prone to failure than the Classic, so at my revision surgery four days ago, he gave me the Classic. Obviously, I haven't tried it for sex yet, but I did cycle it yesterday, and deflating it seemed just as easy as with the OTR. I'm not even sure I ever used the One-Touch-Release feature of the OTR; when deflating, I typically pressed the release button with one hand while squeezing the shaft with the other.

Based on what Dr. Eid says about the greater durability of the Classic, I would recommend that one.
