First data point.

Nothing happened at JFK. But, I suspect this is due to the fact that the TSA line uses the old-style gates, not the ones that rotate around you a construct a 3-d image of your body.

Next test, Helsinki to Oudu, tomorrow.

Stay safe everyone.

Have pre check but just random selected for the additional full body scan. It picked up a groin anomaly which required a further pat down. The agent asked if I had medical devices implanted and when I said yes, he asked what kind. When told him penile implant he didn’t understand. The female agent watching turned away as I further explained. I travel often and only go through the full body scanner when going international or selected. The 50 or so times I have, I have 100% been flagged and required to be pat down and explain the anomaly.

Just went through LaGuardia TSA Pre-check a couple weeks ago during the shutdown. I was of course apprehensive about the implant and reservoir causing me to get the extra going over. TSA just didn't give a shit about anything - they were almost just waving people through. I went through the magnetometer and waited as usual to be told it's ok to go, but the guy never said anything while I stood there. I finally looked at him and got a bit of an eyeroll and a "shoo" gesture with his arm to move along. All without a word. Fastest I've ever gotten through TSA there with or without an implant.

My home airport is BWI. Magnitometer is never an issue but the full body scanner gets me flagged. My wife thinks it is hysterical. I wanted her to get a picture of me being pat down next to the screen with the outline of a man with what looks like a yellow dick and red balls. She couldn’t get her phone back out of the bag in time.

Ha ha! That would be fun to see. BWI is the only place I've been pulled aside for a deep going-over.

Same home airport, and same issue. Every time I go through I get flagged. I traveled four times in the last three months and only one of those was out of Dulles - and I had an issue at each airport. No biggie though, and I get it. A pat down is the least of my worries - though I recently went for and got TSA Pre Check - so that should compensate for the added time.

I don’t care anything about religion and those sorts of things but the one thing I picked up on was you shouldn’t bring religion to our safe space…….unless your religion is terrorism nothing was said about religion, so when you hear about TSA looking for bombs the first thing your mind goes to is your religion, your generalizing yourself
