5-days post Op.

Postby MissionInflatable » Sat Jan 17, 2026 9:48 pm

Well, all I can say is I'm very pleasantly surprised with the lack of pain and discomfort at Day 5 post op.
Sure there has been tenderness and it's obviously a bit uncomfortable.
I'm at the stage now, where I have been advised to massage my penis/testicles and start pulling down on the pump to keep it low in the testicles. I have to be honest, I don't like prodding around my ball sack - It's always been a hallowed area, to be protected. I've never played with or touched my testicles much. I always had to guide her hands away if a woman was too rough or started squeezing them.
I've felt the pump and managed to give it a light pull. I haven't been able to feel the deflate bars - it's a Coloplast Titan. Other than that, I am very happy with the progress.
Really keen to hear of other post-op experience, particularly if you have had a Titan.
Regards,
Steve

Congrats! Thats awesome. Glad you are having a pretty easy time of it.

I have a Titan as well. On Day 5 I was slowly increasing my activity level. Taking short walks, but otherwise keeping my feet up and a heating pad on my groin as much as possible. Tylenol and Advil kept the discomfort manageable.

Do you have the Coloplast One-Touch pump or the Coloplast Classic pump? I have the classic. You have to hold the deflate bars the entire time you are deflating. I’ve heard the classic’s deflate bars are a little easier to locate than the One-Touch deflate button. I’m not familiar with operation of the One-Touch.

I kept an implant journal post and updated it daily those first few days. The link is in my signature below if you are curious.

All the surgeons have different protocols for the post-op period. So when you can bath in the tub and when you can inflate/deflate will vary from guys who had different surgeons, but we are all on the same journey.

Don't worry about not being able to find the valve at this stage. As things settle over the next couple of weeks the indistinct, jelly like feel of the tissue surrounding the pump gradually melts away and you can feel everything cleanly, right down to the individual ridges on the pump.
Keep up with the pulling down . I did it for a few minutes 3 or 4 times a day and am quite happy with where it settled. Dr Love had placed it perfectly and the pulling was more to stop it retracting up rather than repositioning it.
Have you flown home yet or are you still in Melbourne? Things get much better once you are back in your own environment.

Thanks so much for that. Very reassuring. I'm not enjoying at all prodding around my sack. At what point did you start pulling the pump down? I'm Day 5 post-op and have been able to give it gentle pulls yesterday and today. It seems to be lower than my testicles, so a good sign.

Thanks for the feedback GoodWood.
I'll certainly check that link.
I must have the Titan Classic because it has two deflate bars.
It's prob just me, but I hate rummaging around in my testicles and am not enjoying it. The pump seems rock hard and I can't imagine squeezing it. I hope this feeling passes.
Anyway, thanks for your invaluable input into this forum.

Mission, I think you’re doing fine. I don’t have the same implant as you but when my doctor told me to start pulling down lightly on the pump, I thought he was crazy! Lol
I did follow his directions and did what I could and when I had my Followup he said I had done a good job.

You’ve got some good FrankTalk brothers here that have the same implant as you, so you’re in good hands.

I’ll help when I can on any topic.

Hi, I started pulling down day 3/4. Sustained gentle pressure is all you need. Sounds like it's in a good position so all you are doing is preventing it from being pulled back up out of position.
There's an entry in my journal where I listed the do's and don'ts of pump pulling that chat GPT gave me. Basically don't go chasing pain.
SWorks advice about heat is spot on. Heat pads or baths will greatly reduce the swelling. As that goes everything becomes much easier.
The pump will stay rock hard but pumping is not that difficult once you are cleared and get the hang of it.
Roxy cleared me to begin cycling at the week 3 review (I was expecting week 4). Just as well as I could never have coped at work with it inflated.
You will work out which method for squeezing is easiest for you. I abandoned fingers and thumb in favour of gripping it with my whole hand in a fist. 3 fingers at the back of the pump ball applying all the pressure to the pad at the base of my thumb. It difficult to describe but easy to do.
Whatever method you chose you soon get to grips with it (pun intended).
Deflating was what I worried the most about before actually doing it. Turns out it is quite easy though.
