I got a demo pump after implant, but it’s just a model. I kinda really need to be able to understand how the valves work and why it’s a struggle.
The Boston contact you sent me, are they okay with being approached? Or do they just refer you back to surgeon? TBH I don’t think my surgeon is too sure either.

Hey.. not looking for medical advice here… more an understanding or reassurance.
I’m 6 months post implant & cycling as required.
Though I seem to have a few issues which despite my internet searching ability have been unable to find answers to..

So I can pump and get an erection doing very small pumps. And it becomes very solid. Though I seem to have a lot of loose skin around the shaft.. making me think there is room for more girth. So I then pump harder and manage to get numerous full pumps, but no change in erection.
My question is, is there a bypass thing going on in the MS pump?
Does anyone know of a detailed schematic of how the pumps valves work?
Or have I just run out of fluid?
Or is it just normal and I should be happy with my implant? (Which I’m not)

Wembley, I got a Boston Scientefic instruction pack when I got my implant. It had a pump keychain device that you could practice with a DVD that showed how to pump it up and how to troubleshoot, if you had any problems with the pump.
They use to have the same video on YouTube, but they took it down. I don’t know why.
Maybe you can contact Boston Scientefic and see if they will send you a DVD or a link.

I do have the same type implant and pump as you but I’ve never had to reset the pump and I can’t remember the steps.

I don’t think I have the confidence for regular sex just yet, due to lack of length following surgery and the fact that my pump tubing is quite exposed around the base of my shaft. And it was quite uncomfortable. I am happy I have the implant, but just dissatisfied in what my expectations were prior to surgery.
I guess it still does work but it’s just not a miracle cure.

Wembley1, I see this is your 1st post, so welcome to the bionic brotherhood ! I can't answer your MS pump question directly, but curious about quality of erection. Usable for PIV ? Is that an issue that causes you to not be happy with the implant ?

I got the MS pump.
I also did a search on the recalled MS pumps and my one is not part of the recall.

Did you get the new Tenacio pump or the older MS pump?

6 months post op, so is there any difference in length from your original erection?
Are the tips of implant buried in the glans of your penis?

Are you talking full pumps or lots of very small pumps?

Sometimes implants just defy logic. First weeknor so of my pumping I hit the hard bulb at 3-5 pumps. That kept going up until it took around 30 pumps. Then for no reason that I can discern it went down to in the mid teens of pumps. It finally settled in at a pretty consistent 15 pumps. Maybe a few minor squeezes after maybe 5 minutes of max inflation.

Short answer. Please be careful trying to make sense of what is happening to your routine. Just keep at it & see where it goes.

Pretty much full pumps. Then later on some very small pumps. I will say that my drs assistant used rapid small pumps & it inflated pretty quickly.

My post history is consistent. For the at least the last year maybe closing in on 2 years. My CX maxes out at very close to 15 good pumps every time. I do not squeeze my implant to get it empty. I have tried that before & it made very little difference to the pumping at the next inflation.

If you aren't getting a reasonable erection then maybe it is time to reveal your surgeon & what approach he used. What is your long term complaint? Number of pumps or lack of size? Where are you implant tips located?

Be clear with us. This is like solving a riddle without all the data.
