Just thought I'd share with this group that I got an implant two days ago, and have just been discharged from hospital.
I live in Perth, Western Australia, but decided to get the procedure done in Melbourne. Dr Chris Love , who is Melbourne based, appears to be the prominent implanter in Australia.
I got a 22cm Coloplast Titan implant - infrapubic. The operation took 1hr.
My first reaction is my relief at the lack of pain, or even discomfort.
I'm on a cocktail of pills so maybe thats got something to do with it.
My penis and scrotum was tightly bandaged for two days post-op, they came off this morning.
As expected, my penis looks like it has been mugged - bruised and swollen.
I was also 30 - 50% erect as the cylinders stay partially inflated after surgery.
I've had a shower and massaged around the penis, testicles, and incision point. All very tender but completely lacking pain or discomfort even.
I am wearing compression stockings as provided by the Doc.
I'm finding it easy to keep my penis in an upright position, as advised, by wearing suitable jocks.
My instructions are to rest up as much as possible for the next couple of days, with feet up, but also have a few short walks.
After three days I am to start gently pulling the penis downwards and massaging the penis and incision point. I also have to start locating the pump and gently massage it as well as pulling down on it to keep it at the bottom of the scrotum.
I then gradually increase activity as comfortable.
I go back to the Doc's assistant (urology nurse) in 4 weeks to be shown how to start cycling the implant.
So, I'm pleased with progress so far.
Just wanto share this with anyone who may be coming up to surgery.
I'd also be very interested to hear about other's experiences post-op.
FrankTalk is a great forum for discussion, particularly as you feel totally isolated when embarking down the penile implant road.
All the best to my 'bionic brothers' out there.
Steve
PS: I tried to attach three pics of my sad looking member, but the files are too large. I'll see if I can condense, then send again.

Re: Just been implanted.
Congrats!!! That’s awesome.
Ice ice ice ice ice ice ice ice is your best friend for a while. At least the first three days. It helps reduce inflammation and swelling.
After that a heating pad can be soothing and will increase blood flow to the area which can speed healing.
Like you, I found a jock the best way to stay pointing up. A babysock worn over the glans helped protect my tender penis. And a slit cut in the top of the pouch just under the waistband of the jock kept my penis from getting crushed by the waistband.
There is a pic on page 6 of my journal post (link in my signature below) of the jockstrap/babysock in case the description wasn’t clear.
Just rest (stay off your feet the first couple days as well), nap, get plenty of sleep, drink lots of fluids. Follow all of YOUR doc’s instructions. If any of us give you suggestions that are counter to your doc, do what your doc says.

Re: Just been implanted.
Congrats, it sounds like everything went well! Don’t be fooled…the pain is coming. The first couple of days are easy as you have nerve blocks and anesthesia preventing the pain. About two days in that will wear off and you’ll start to have discomfort.
Just go slow, use ice, and rest. I’d keep that up for the first week at least.

I reduced them online, but can't seem to be able to attach them. It gives me the option to place "inline", but no goof
