I officially decide to go with the implant route. i will be 33 next week and hopefully i will get it done in 2027.
Everyone keeps saying how you must ABSOLUTELY go to an high volume surgeon but it seems there are none in eastern Canada (am i wrong?)
Would it be that bad to have the procedure done in Canada ? Flying outside the country for such a procedure stress me wayyy too much. all the problems that can happen, infection, complications in the first year that force you to go back to the surgeon, etc. I would be 1000% more comfortable to know that the surgeon is at worst, couple of hours drive from me.
so, do you know anything about :
Dr. Serge carrier - Montreal
Dr. Carlos Marois - Montreal
(If i have the procedure in Quebec province it's covered by insurance). anything outside is 100% out of my pocket so 0$ vs 25 000$ +
Dr Yonah Krakowsky - Toronto (this one seems the most popular in toronto) But since i live in Quebec, i would have to pay out of my pocket.
thank you so much !

Re: Best surgeons in Eastern Canada (Quebec or Ontario)? HELP
Quit awhile ago we had a lot of posts about Canada on here. As I recall it varied a lot by providence. Don't quote me but I think there was a good guy in Ontario. But I think it was reported that he retired.
Again, just my opinion. Implants are not rocket science level surgery. But it does take a few extra years to get all the training & maybe work with a more experienced surgeon. My opinion again, an overly young surgeon might be a poor sign. Just look at old Dr Eid is.
