I'm wondering how any of that is possible with a third nut and a reservoir in the gut. Crossovers when skating? Crunches in the gym? A bad hop in a softball game? Lunging for a pickleball?

Can you put the new plumbing out of your mind when exercising?

Hardtimes, I’m an avid cyclist, riding 100 to 190 miles a week on my road bike.
I thought I would have a difficult time getting back on a road bike saddle with the third brother down there.
Once I healed up I don’t have any problems with cycling with the extra nut down there, it finds its place and there is no discomfort or pain.
I do use road bike saddles that have an opening in the middle of the seat to prevent pressure on the perineum.
I don’t think you’ll have any problem with any sport.

Thank you, SWorks. I enjoy road- and mountain biking. We'll have to see about the mountain biking going forward. Sounds like you get used to that third nut after awhile? From most comments on this forum, guys suggest it's a worthwhile tradeoff to regain sexual function. I am about to find out. Surgery is (gulp!) tomorrow.

You got this Hardtimes! It’s gonna change your life!
We’ll be here for you, while you’re on your journey back to manhood!

Welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood!

When skating on cross-country skis, my legs are always pointed in different directions. I don't feel the implant at all. Also, a week ago, I ran my first 5 km after surgery.

This is encouraging, AntonS, because I love cross country skiing and hope to get back on skis before winter is over. And special thanks for your observations re: Coloplast. My surgery is tomorrow, and based on your observations and others, I think AMS will be my choice. Continued success in your recovery!

Good luck to you and your surgeon! Everything will be fine! Don't worry, and remember that recovery is just as important as the surgery itself. Which model did you choose? LGX or CX?

Thanks, Anton. Tomorrow, Thursday, is the big day. My doc has left it to me. I'm going to ask him about the LGX. Your thoughts on the two models?

Greetings from a fellow prostate cancer survivor, HikerMan. How long after your implant did it take to fully regain your athletic stamina, particularly weights? I have been in fairly reasonable shape and was contemplating returning to huff-and-puff hockey...no checking but plenty of bumping. Wonder if a standard athletic cup would offer enough protection (or even fit over the extra nut)?

Not long.
As far as weightlifting- roughly 8 weeks for upper body.
Two months for lower.
Hockey shoud be fine but I would wear extra padding
around my midsection.
You have some new equipment near your belly button.
Good luck

Hard times, my doc gave me the LGX which has been great, I can’t complain.
But when we were in the scheduling and making arrangements for my implant, he always said that the CX was his go to implant.
I’ve heard that the CX takes less pumps to get steel rod hard.
My wife likes it as hard as I can get it, so I have to pump it to the max.
If I’m at around 70 percent inflated, it seems to bend a little when I’m penetrating my wifey. It just feels better when it is steel rod hard and slides in like a glove.
If I ever have a revision, I’m gonna ask for the CX.

I hope that helps a little,

No issues with anything I was doing pre surgery, but the list has been getting much smaller as I get older.
Fairly strenuous hiking, cycling and brisk walks are about it for me these days.
Similar to HikerMan I used to run long distance up to marathon level.
No more running after a knee replacement but I don't think it would be a problem with an implant.

Once sufficiently healed so there is no discomfort you won't notice the plumbing when exercising, or focused on other things.

Stay ahead of the curve on your pain meds and ice ice baby!
I used gel ice packs in fabric sleeves that I use to use on my knees. They covered my whole manhood area
comfortably. I would rotate them, one in the freezer and one on my junk! lol

You got this,
Keep the questions coming

I resumed Boxing and MMA about 3 months after implant and have been doing it ever since (almost 4 years). I recommend the Shock Doctor athletic cup since it curves under. Also, positioning the penis upwards in the cup was quite awkward and uncomfortable. I find positioning the penis downward allows for full coverage of shaft and balls. I also recommend Under Armor compression shorts to keep everything in place. Good luck.

Welcome Hardtimes
I gym most day of the week, not a super star my any means but stay in shape for a 70 something.
You will be fine, you’ll need a good jock strap for the first year, and for bicycle riding. I had to have my reservore placed higher and deeper in my abdomen (right side) on revision as it protruded .
And I can sense that its still there during sit ups / crunches and a few other exercises but its not bothersome.
You’ll do great and you’ll be so happy
Welcome
