Will not inflating long term cause size loss?

Postby SthAv8tr » Mon Jan 05, 2026 4:34 pm

Work has kept me away from home all of 2025 and most of 2024 and it occurred to me last night in the shower that I haven't inflated since 2024. I've just been super busy and to be honest sex has been the last thing on my mind.

Anyhow, will not inflating it long term cause any size loss?

Thanks in advance!

You haven’t masturbated in over a year?!?!

Yeah, not inflating for over a year can cause size issues. If your tunica is not being regularly stretched, it can atrophy and become less pliable, whether you have an ipp or not.

I’m with Leto, that’s odd. Get your testosterone checked!

And start cycling, you are almost certainly having some atrophy and/or shortening if you don’t cycle for a year. It’s like having a failed implant you don’t revise for over a year.

For the Coloplast Titan, it is essential to cycle it regularly for at least two years before you may consider stopping.

For the AMS 700, you must continue cycling it indefinitely, as its Momentary Squeeze (MS) pump can seize if not used regularly for a prolonged period.

This is the information I gathered from a doctor.

I agree with the other guys, start cycling asap. The thing is that the implant doesn't "cure" the ED.
It simply gives you a reliable tool to address the problem, but the underlying causes and symptoms remain.
If you don't get regular stretching of the tunica from nocturnal erections, or some other means like cycling, the penis may atrophy and lose size.
Only my 2 cents worth but I believe having an implant is very much "use it or lose it".

Also I do understand from past experience that a busy career and so on can get in the way of pleasurable things like sex.
But it does seem very unusual that you've had zero desire for sexual activity for about 2 years. I would definitely get that checked out.

Recovery great but have a bend.

SthAv8tr, I’ve kept cycling my implant daily in the shower even when I’m not banging the wifey. I feel that it keeps everything stretched out. When I’ve missed a day or two, I can tell that it takes a little more effort to pump up. I’m at 4 years out from my implant surgery and I still cycle. It’s easy when you’re in the shower or bath.

Good luck brother,
