Bravo... trusting the surgeon seems to be one of the most difficult responsibilities for a man :D in this case, where almost none of us have anything close to experience in the matter, it's quite wise.
Oct 7, 2025 - Coloplast Titan XL - Touch pump - 26cm - 0.5cm RTE with Jonathan Clavell. Still sorting out TRT; plan to try a "modified natty" approach without injections.

According to the surgical report Dr Clavell left me 40% pumped up, which is a full on boner. It's already harder than any sort of erection I could manage immediately prior to my surgery. The wife remarked "it hasn't stood up like that in a long time". If this is 40%, then 100% is going to be a railroad spike!
Most of the swelling is gone and there really has never been any severe pain (my ACL surgery was 100 times worse), but having a hard on for weeks on end is, shall we say, bothersome.

I'd like to hear from fellow Clavell patients about your experience, and how long until you started cycling, and what it felt like when you did.

so how do you get around in public with a boner sticking up and getting home from the hospital?

Personally, I got a leg bag (Google it, or find one on Amazon). Got so attached to it, that I wear one daily. Today, wouldnt live w/out it.

For me, after the surgery I had a heck of a time deflating the Titan. It took me weeks to get the hang of it.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

I had to heal all alone by my lonesome those first few weeks. I waited the full 6 weeks and was given the green light to cycle and play. However, my lady was in Thailand at the time so I had to wait until the 10 week point to actually have sex. I think i rubbed one or two out between weeks 6 and 10. Even at week 10 I was still numb on the lower shaft and scrotum. Max inflation became sore after about :12 - :15 minutes of actual thrusting and I would sometimes tap out without achieving orgasm. I thought things would be better by then....and obviously i was having sex again, so that WAS better, but when would everything be comfortable?

For me, it took months to be able to fully inflate to max, not be sore, have good sensitivity, and consistently achieve orgasm. Maybe 6-7 months. I remained optimistic and that attitude served me well as everything resolved nicely.

Jage64 mentioned the number of pumps required. Seems he's experienced a change, if i understand correctly, of requiring about 70 pumps initially. Not down to 20. I still require about 70 pumps. Most of them are "micro pumps", done two handed, forecefully. If I only did 20 pumps I'd be not even 50%. Not sure what this is about, but, given the reliable end result, not complaining.

Now 3 years postop. Fellow Clavellian.

You mean a leg bag, like, for a catheter? I never had a catheter at any time during or after.

I bought a pair of baggy straight leg sweat pant's and a long sweatshirt just for this, and knowing I had to have something to wear on the flight back home.
My surgery was first up that morning. I walked to the Hospital from the ZaZa Hotel. I checked in at 5:30am. I was discharged from the Hospital just before 10am. No wheelchair to the exit, just walked right out the door and walked back to the hotel and ordered a room service breakfast.

As far as getting around in public...David Archey underwear and a baby sock with another pair of briefs over that under loose clothing. I also just stay in.

I had my follow-up tele appointment at just under 6 weeks and was given the go-ahead. I was still tender so I wasn't overly tempted. The 40% inflation was difficult. I was able to telework for a week after, but had to go in after that (office job). I wore my looser pants and kept something handy to hold in front of my crotch. Bending over was difficult, even when the cycling started.
Early 60s. Titan on 1 April 2025 by Dr. Clavell. ~15+ years of dealing with ED. PD5s were effective until about 6 mo. before implant. ~8" x 6" pre-op, currently at ~7.5" x 5.5", working to get back to 100%.
