The cost of a vile of BIMIX is about as much as dinner in a restaurant. The fact that we are cost comparing like this is an indication that we may be trivializing what the implant entails. If you spend any time on this forum, you can quickly come to believe that the implant is the only "real solution", and all other things are "workarounds", and that the implant is a one-and-done.... set-it-and-forget-it, miracle....and all other solutions involve a lifetime relationship with doctors and pharmacies and chemicals and needles. This is an oversimplification. I would give anything to be able to go back to BIMIX, so I can't emphasize enough that you owe it to yourself to at least give it several tries before dismissing it. (and this goes for anyone who gets ginnned up here, into jumping immediately to an implant)

Extra BIMIX/TRIMIX info: (since others here were contemplating it) :

- if you accidently land the need anywhere other than where it needs to deliver the solution....it does nothing...so its easy (in the beginning) to "screw it up" and think it does not work for you.

- you do build a tolerance if you use it allot, hence the increasing potency's from BIMIX to TRIMIX

- if you use it alot, you will develop scar tissue , which increases the possibility of injecting the solution into a useless location.

For a person who has sex a couple of times a week, BIMIX is a good solution, because the tiny pin pricks have time to heal and you won't really develop a tolerance fast enough to matter. If you become a fiend and inject multiple times a day...you will accelerate the process.....but even then....the implant is an option.

Injections if would cost a fortune if i have sex 4-5 times a week no ? 300$ + per week. i absolutely dont have this budget at all. (medecine are wayyy more expensive in canada)

I am not sure if you are correct about the trimix price. First, injecting 5 times a week isnt't recommended at all. Just 3 times a week, maybe 4 at max if you have some crazy week or a vacation going. At the end of the day, I am more than sure that you could import trimix from the US. I live in Germany, and I know for sure that you can ship trimix/bimix/monomix from Germany inside of the EU without any problems. Of course, you stil need a prescription, which you can get even living abroad(there are some guys from France, who actually managed to get trimix shipped from Germany to France, you can search about it on the forum, if you are interested about the topic).

I am 35 now, and I am also considering the option of an implant. But before that, I will definitely try injections, at least for occasional sex. The biggest issue with injections I fear is a lack of spontaneous sex and not being able to find a girlfriend for the long run. But if she was ok with it, I would probably go with injections as long as I can. Yeah, implant may be a better solution overall, but you need to consider all the risks like malfunctioning, revisions, infections. In Germany the generall approach is quite conservative too. Implant is regarded as a last option. But again, if injections don´t bring satisfactory results, you can always apply for an implant.

I used injections with about 25 women, everything from one-night encounters, up to and including a live-in girlfriend. Some suspected Viagra, some probably thought I was using Cocaine in the bathroom, or maybe some thought I had "irritable bowel syndrome" ..but it was not big deal.... because after I got it out of the way.....I was superman for the next 4 hours....then it wears off in a natural way. With the implant, you eventually have to deflate...so the "mission impossible sneaky part" is at the end , when you want to "deflate".

I am not concerned about using injections for occasional sex. I just feel that finding a woman in her late 20s or 30s for a long term relationship, who willingly accepts always planning sex in advance—with no spontaneity—will be almost impossible, unless she is asexual or I am VERY lucky.

I think we are exaggerating the impact of the injections and minimizing the reality of the implant here. When are we having sex before we know we are having sex? Is this something we saw in a rom-com movie? like in the Ferris wheel at the amusement park or something? People excuse themselves to go to the bathroom during sex all the time. This hypothetical girlfriend who is going to be aghast at you going to the bathroom, is going to be so accepting of you having a mechanical apparatus in your body? I know I'm in the minority on this site, but I think that anyone (for whom injections are effective) should exhaust that option before jumping to the implant.

For what it's worth: it was 10 times easier to do the injections with the live-in girlfriend, (than the lover-boy Casanova sex). ...and I never told any women about any of it. The ice packs in the glove compartment and the syringe in my sock were way more complicated than just hiding stuff in the fridge or bathroom. But I had 100% of sex in the bedroom...not while sky diving, or on an amusement park ride ....or wherever else this "spontaneous" sex occurs. in those cases, the implant wins. :)

I truly believe that more women would accept a man with a penis implant than someone on injections (if we are talking about relationships), just because sex can be spontaneous, every day, multiple times a day.

Hi Vincent,

I'm also in Canada looking into an implant with almost the exact same issues as you...In my early 30s now, no erection being the sole symptom, blood tests coming back normal, am pretty active (lift weights a few times a week, rock climb, mountain bike), not overweight. I even went to Montreal in order to get a penile doppler done as there was a private clinic there who could fit me in but the wait in ON would have been months on the low end if I could find a urologist willing to perform one. Multiple doctors seen, none able to give me an answer as to the "why", only able to put band aids on the problem (band aids here being tadalafil, viagra, cialis) which are ineffective and give side effects in large doses. The only difference is I have been a type 1 diabetic for a number of years albeit my A1C is always in range and I am dilligent about blood sugar control (only say this to offer further context to my situation).

In my research most of the doctors doing implants in Canada are low volume which is a deal breaker for me so I've been looking at doctors in the states. It's expensive, but I'm not willing to take risks with important cargo, you know? An improperly done implant not only makes the situation worse but effectively doubles the number of surgeries required to get a properly functioning one.

I don't really have a ton of advice besides really consider going out of country if you do decide on an implant. Keep us updated as to what happens, the more information Canadians can get from fellow Canadians the better :)
