Happy New Year all. Wishing all the members here a great 2026!
Greetings from Thailand.
It was almost 4 years ago that I first signed up for this forum. I was struggling with ED, both the pills and the shots becoming more and more useless. My issue was veinous leakage. I could get firm wood with the shots, but with veinous leakage the blood will not remain in the penis for long. I had maybe 10 minutes at best to get things done. Hardly fun for my ex-wife, a lady devoid of understanding and compassion, who used my dilemma as a tool of humiliation and as an excuse to begin having affairs. We were already separated at the time i became a forum member, and so with this forum i began the journey from being abhorred at the idea of an implant, to learning a great deal here, getting support here....and on Jan 2, 2023, I became Dr. Clavell's first patient of that year.
Tomorrow is my 3 year glitch-free anniversary.
3 years is a lot of ground to cover, so in the interest of brevity i'll just hit the highlights for now and perhaps elaborate later on any questions or comments anyone else might have. Btw, with my restored status on the forum, I'm happy to receive DM's from anyone who might have a question for me personally.
RECOVERY:
Let's first address the elephant in the room: Pain. Dr. Clavell uses a spinal nerve block that mitigates pain for about the first 4 days. I had expected to wake up from surgery pain-free (or at least minimal pain), but got a rude surprise in the recovery room when i awakened. It hurt LIKE HELL! You know that 1-10 pain scale some health care folks ask you about? Mine, like the movie Spinal Tap (interesting, since i'd just had a spinal tap, kind of)...."Mine goes to 11!". It was teeth-gritting, sheet-clenching acute pain. Right in my dick.
The nurse, upon realizing this, immediately got on the phone at the nurses staion (i could see her the entire time) and placed a call. Within about 5 minutes she returned with a big hyperdermic needle and put it into my IV drip.
I'd say maybe 2 minutes, the pain was gone COMPLETELY. I remember such a palpable sense of (literal) relief. It was like nothing had happened down below at all. Of course, i was paranoid about when the drug might wear off and if i'd experience this level of pain again. Dread. But you know, the pain (at that level) never returned. In fact, though Dr. Clavell issues some strong pain killers, just in case, from that point forward I only ever needed one strong pill (after I'd slept on my stomach and, by default, my semi-inflated boner). Beyond that, I needed nothing more than Tylenol.
I am the ONLY guy i'm aware of on this forum, who has had Dr. Clavell as his surgeon, who experienced this initial wave of pain. But beyond that, despite a certain amount of natural discomfort while healing, everything was copasetic. I ICED heavily. For about 4 days. Starting the moment i left the hospital and was back in my hotel room. A thick double-layered gallon Ziplock bag filled with ice. I'd place a towel on my groin, allow the ice to gradually melt and form a "cocoon" of ice around my package, and just keep it there. Upon returning home, more of the same. As i said, 4 days solid icing.
Icing was the best thing i did. Very little swelling. Never anything black and blue or bulging as i've read elsewhere.
In the early days, I found myself alone at home, literally counting down the days. Time seemed to crawl. I had not been so aware and focused on my dick since i was about 14 years old, though for different reasons. I remember thinking "I wish i could just stop thinking about my dick all day". I think it was at about the 2+ week point i finally left the house to have dinner with friends. I shamelessly took my foam rubber donut cushion with me right into the restaurant and had a seat. Good thing. The chair seats were wooden and without the cushion it would have been uncomfortable.
One month in i began to walk. At first about 1/4 mile, increasing daily. Still with my "chub". About 7-10 days later i was walking a full mile and was really feeling better overall.
Tell you how much of a pussy i really am. I DID NOT LOOK at my incision (scrotum)....EVER. I just couldn't look and didn't dare touch anything down there for fear it would be too weird, or maybe too painful. So, aside from my aerial view from above at my own package, all i knew was things seemed to be going ok.
Just before getting the go-ahead, at 6 weeks, to begin cycling, I began to feel around. No pain. But that alien feeling of a 3rd neighbor in the scrotum took some getting used to. Friends, there's no missing it, the pump. If any of you have partners that like to feel your scrotum, I have no idea how one keeps that a secret. Fortunately, the doctor PERFECTLY positioned the pump. Aft of the original neighbors, and slightly ahead of the taint. Nothing visible when naked. He even placed the pump so that the deflate valve would be perfect ergonomically, not having to contort my hand or the pump to access it.
CYCLING:
There's a lot of talk here about cycling regimens. I had mine and it worked well. Because this is another topic of discussion, I will save that for my next post in a few days. I will say however that I lost no length whatsoever and actually GAINED girth. This gain in girth did not happen right away though. It took months. I'll talk about that in my next post and how i cycled.
So, good to be back and best wishes to all for a great new year!

You are so right with less negativity and more success stories!
Around 85% success should move many more bionic brothers to post, however I know how it works for the most: they have their great sex-life, backt-to work and daily routine, sometimes even forgetting about the implant, it's becoming the "new normal", thus they just don't want or have the time to read and post, especially when some trolls misuse the board for their negative purpose.
But I think this board gave me so much reassurance in my postoperative time and recovery, that I simply like to give back some positivity.
I appreciate to receive some positive remarks, like yours from FT brothers. Thank you!
